There are. There was an article posted here where they are considering mandatory vaccinations in schools. I remember those back when I was a kid. We were marched into the gym, and one by one, were vaccinated against something. Can’t remember what it was. Probably around 1975-76.

It was probably the first swine flu vaccination... That was in 1976 from what I’ve read (I was only four y.o.).

I recall kids going to the gym in 1963 to get some kind of shots. Many returned with blood running down their arms. I didn't join that circus. My dad was in the Navy and we got all the shots we needed at the Navy dispensary. A few more than most kids do to the associated travel.
