Chile detected the H1N1 swine flu virus in turkeys, authorities said on Thursday, the first time the virus has been found outside humans or pigs.
Chile's farming and livestock agency SAG said the flu outbreak had been controlled at the two farms 75 miles (120 km) west of the capital Santiago.

Waitaminnit... when this first came on the scene the scientists were saying it looked like it was part duck or goose flu. And now it’s a surprise that it’s being found in fowl?

This kinda messes up Thanksgiving, doesn’t it?
To: rintense
Quite possibly.
I would bet there are already plans for forced vaccinations.
To: IDRATHERNOT
Looks like Thanksgiving is cancelled.

It’s not that simple. Some won’t do what the gov demands. Unfortunately the first & second brown shirt to show up will die of some kind of poisoning.
To: ConservativeMan55
There are. There was an article posted here where they are considering mandatory vaccinations in schools. I remember those back when I was a kid. We were marched into the gym, and one by one, were vaccinated against something. Can’t remember what it was. Probably around 1975-76.

Weren’t there a whole bunch of people who were killed by swine flu vaccinations in the 70’s?

Man, I haven’t thought of Les Nessman in years. That turkey episode has to rank in the top 5 funniest things ever on television.

It’s part avian. They call it swine flu but it’s a mix of human, swine, and avian strains.
