How would it be a Federal crime or have I missed something? Has it ever been said that you could not pay for a procedure?

If one files as a Medicare claimant, and the medical facility accepts that filing, then the claimant and medical facility are bound by Medicare regulations and price schedule.

If one wants to pay their own, they can simply agree to pay themselves, but they cannot also make a Medicare claim. [This may be invalidated, if they already have Medicare on file at the medical facility. That would be something they would need to find out from the medical facility.]

offended me too. I remember his saying he saw his Mother dying in a bed in Hawaii tryuing to deal with insurance companies and how trying it was.

Why the hell didn’t her lawyer son say “Mom, let me do that” and deal with it.

When his Mom was in NY after diagnosis, he never once visited her even though he was in chicago.

He is a horrible man.

That wouldn't surprise me a bit. Add in "access to bank accounts" and I am afraid we would have "duty to die" pushed especially for those who would provide the IRS with the most revenue.

The revenue saved is Social Security. There must be too many grandmas signing up for their life long promised 'security' checks. And there is NO way the left will openly discuss how they are going to fix that black hole.

Thanks for the ping, Alas B.! Wow, FOX news is spending the whole time on health care. Chris Wallace is informed on some of the issues and has asked very good questions.

I’m with you: hate getting text messages—and no Twitter or Facebook for me either. But I have bookmarked Palin’s Facebook notes, because they are now leading the news cycle. (Tee hee!)

I am signing up for SOcial Security at 62. I figure I might as well get it before they start cutting back on the benefits.

I have paid into it and I want a little bit back.

My husband is younger than I by 3 years and will work until he's 65, so I am going to bank the money and buy CD's with it. IF they still allow you to take it at 62 when I get there! LOL!

Morning AB, ALL....
....Happening thread today, eh?

Let me catch up on the reading but I like what I’ve heard so far this morning on Fox News Sunday.

Health care reform is dead, stick a fork in it.

Mostly because, write this down yon ladies and gems, we have common sense out here in la-la land. They call it common sense for a reason...only the common people have it.

You can couch it as sweet and concerned “end of life counseling”. You can tell us that this is only a “voluntary” free program and will provide services private insurers won’t give you. You can give us every Lifetime phrase you know and this is what us un-American IDIOTS know...

Under NO circumstances SHOULD THE GUBMINT GET INVOLVED IN ANY FORM OR FASHION IN END OF LIFE DECISIONS!!!

Of course there’s that bugaboo about taxpayer paid for abortion and hey, I’ll say it...why can’t we have health insurance that exempts certain diseases...like why do I have to have health insurance that pays for pregnancy?

Or...let us whisper this...AIDS is a very, very expensive ailment to treat. Why can’t a health insurer exempt this sorts of things that only affect a certain portion of the population?

There’s a gazillion ways to make health insurance cheaper without these Death Panels and hurray to Sarah Palin...from FACEBOOK, she got it right.

Dick Armey is doing an excellent job. He actually just shut Rachel Madcow up.

Panel: House bill may not clear the house.

The Kraut admits he was wrong about the protesters. Americans related to the protesters. Forced RATs to defend the indefensible.

Cici: For the first time saw the administration on the defense. Pelosi can afford to lose about 40 votes. Conrad's denial of deadline is bad news for the White House.

Wallace: Will town hall blowback change votes Bill Sammon, yes, they like being elected more than the agenda. Pelosi overreached by insulting the public.

Exactly Tom midnight legislation is how this and most rat bills will be passed that's if they can pass anything at all that resembles what they want, they will. They will add everything laterthat's how the game is played and no one plays dirtier than the demrats. ..........

I am watching David Gregory go nuts over the reference to El Bozo as Hitler. You just gotta laugh at this assclown. No group has ever gone more ballistic in their protesting over anything and everything from Rodney King to every war we have been in since WW II, to GW over the past 30 years then the demorats and the first time we raise our voices at all, at a town meeting, ohhh.... it's just terrible. The rat double standard is alive and well.

Notice that Gregory has 5 rats and two of us on his fair and balanced panel, that "is" balance in the DBM.

They are all spinning so fast and so blatantly while ignoring what Coburn rightly sees as the big enchilada how the huge cost of everything the Joker adm. has done to the country will plunge us into default and bankrupt the country.,at least Coburn gets it and is willing to raise the topic.

No dem/rat will talk about that since they know it is their political deathnell.

The Panel:

A B Stoddard says there will be no public plan when the members COME HOME.

“Home”?! She just encapsulated Washington’s problem.

Part of my hopes they'll do so. It will lead to a public deluge of Congress come November 2010.

A couple of week ago, I posted something to the effect that:

Politicians have been relatively immune from their constituents in the past. This health debate has, as the lady at the Specter townhall said, "awakened the sleeping giant." The natives are restless.

And of course the un-volunteered email addresses could have come from another source completely—though the WH could use this for a cover explanation if they did.

I'm not so sure, 9 Year. IIRC, it is illegal for the White House, as the executive branch, to share donor lists, etc, with their respective political branches, such as reelection committees, party organizations, etc. That's why Gibbs got so snotty about Major Garrett's questions, and almost screeched that the White House was NOT using Move America Forward email lists.

Which to me, means they probably did.
