Scott, I’m SURE they will pay a price, but as I said in my post yesterday (”What if They Don’t Care?”), we may be missing the obvious: that Obama has already calculated a substantial loss (30 House seats, 4-5 Senate seats), promised all those people jobs, and intends to ram this through anyway despite the polls.

I agree, I think Ras was pretty accurate. In fact, I think most of the polls were pretty close, unfortunately. My editorial yesterday, though, argues something totally different ("What If They Don't Care?")

What if they have already calculated "acceptable casualties" (say, a loss of 30 House seats and 4-5 Senate seats) in order to put in place a "doomsday machine" that it will take SUPERMAJORITIES to override and repeal? What if like Lloyd Doggett in TX and the guy in NC, they say, "we don't care what you think." (Yes, they said something to that effect---that they would vote for healthcare no matter what their constituents wanted.)

While that may be true, and I do follow your logic, all it means, Larry, is we have to be, as Barry Goldwater once said, eternally vigilant.

Relentless. Talk to people, all the time. We need to actuallyu organize, to the level the Leftwing media nad top democrats SAY we have been.

So, how do we do our part? Kepp at ‘em!

Larry, is there any chance you can get on Fox News again to go over this theory of yours? You were very effective on the textbook issue.

I read that piece , I have to say I agree with you; and the media will have their backs all the way.

Let's try this again, but with spell checker!

Yes, they’re brain dead, which means that ostammer’s health plan will ensure that the plug gets pulled on them.

This daily tracking was at -12 last week. Now it’s -8?

How did he gain 4 points on this basis after the White House ordering its operatives to “hit back twice as hard” against town hall protestors and the assaults that followed?

Can anyone please tell me what the sheep are watching that any political party’s voters can give this guy an 80%+ approval rating?

I feel like the Gunny in Full Metal Jacket; “What is this Mickey Mouse shit? What are you two animals doing in my beloved head? Why is Private Pyle out of his bunk after lights out? Why is Private Pyle holding that weapon? Why are you not stomping Private Pyle’s guts out? “

Wow, Nanzi Pelosi continues to turn in consistently bad numbers. I'm quite certain she will be relegated to the back bench in the next Congress, whether the democrats hold on to their majority or not.

Looks like Americans don’t much care for a President of the United States that sends out union goons to attack citizens that don’t agree with them. This just shows the power of alternative media, because the msm hasn’t covered the truth of this astonishing act by Obama at all or they have frantically tried to cover it up. We have to find a way to reach some of the 31% and go around the msm.

I was simply making the point that it was his strong approval that was sliding, more so than his strongly disapproval is rising.

I agree with you.

Right now he’s at 50/50 overall, last week it was 51 disapprove, 49, approve. When that 50 approve drops down to 40, then we’re cooking on the front burner big time. Without something really BIG happening in his favor, he doesn’t come back from 40, even with the media lying their asses off for him. We’ve got a ways to go to any kind of comfort zone.

This daily tracking was at -12 last week. Now it’s -8?

Probably due to the much-ballyhooed "decrease" in the unemployment rate from 9.5% to 9.4%.

But the leftwing base is much less independent than the conservative base. The lefties may become disenchanted, but they will never vote anything but rat. That’s why the Green party has never gotten a toe-hold.

I still think it’s the independents that bear the most watching.

I don’t know why it jumped back up to -8 so quickly

The dim/libs APPROVE of his brownshirt tactics. The more seiu goons beat up old folks the happier the libs are.

There seems to be some trend on weekend polls for nobama’s approvals to creep back up.

Keep in mind Ras uses a 3-day polling average which indicates obozo has polled lower than -8 in most recent day. We MAY see the -8 drop further in next few days.

He must have had one spectacular day of polling that dropped off last week. I think he was at -4 one day(!).

Maybe it was the NK thing combined with the market. It surely wasn’t healthcare!

So this means 31% of Americans are brain dead, right?

Right.

I think that 31% will stay fairly constant - it's the gimme-gimme-gimme contingent of parasites, Vichy-Americans, and sundry other rabble with their grubby paws perpetually stuck out for a gummint freebie, at the expense of all else. But I think there will be a slow, steady uptick in at -8 as time goes by. More and more of those almighty 'swing voters' are realizing what we Freepers saw before it came across the horizon: Obama, his minions, and his enablers are a genuine menace to America. IOW, they wuz had. LOL

I just hope that we haven’t seen the limit on the swing vote shift away from supporting ostammer.
