Tampa, Florida - Angry protesters and strong supporters are clashing inside and all around a health care reform town hall meeting in Downtown Tampa. The meeting which was scheduled to begin at 6:00 at the Children's Board of Hillsborough County drew hundreds of people who quickly began to overwhelm staff and event organizers at the front entrance.

I attended Dingell’s forum. They had so many people, they had to break it into two sessions, and there were still many people who couldn’t get in. The schmuck who moderated it was a representative from AARP and was loudly jeered. The ACORN and unions plants were there, but they were greatly outnumbered.
Dingell, who wrote the bill and kept telling us he wrote the bill (the crowd responded loudly that he didn’t even know what was in it, and got booed for writing it) got booed very loudly when he was introduced and when the meeting adjourned.
They thought they were setting a sympathetic mood by having a Dingell supporter with a horrible disease open the meeting by regaling us with her medical problems and telling us she was a social worker (which didn’t do much to gleen her any sympathy). The crowd didn’t appreciate being conned or lectured to and shouted, “We all have sob stories”. She left rather abruptly.
The crowd was relentless. We were sick of the lies and the b.s. he was giving us and clearly let him know we weren’t buying any of it.
Thanks for the link. Looks like a lot of fired up Americans who aren’t going to take the forcing of Obamacare down their throats.
I have never seen Americans, regular people, so upset and so determined to have their voices heard by an unresponsive Congress than now.
Well, let’s see.....I do remember the antiwar protests during the Vietnam era....but they were mostly funded by the Communists and filled by youth who did not want to be drafted.
Those protesters were treated aw heroes by the press and one of them became a domestic terrorist then - today top friend of the Dear Leader who has called out his brownshirts to “hit back twice as hard” and who has instituted his Nazi/Commie like “snitch” line.
Amazing.
Bravo all who turned out in Tampa! (well, Bravo to all but he ACORN/SEIU Browshirts)

“Because of this apparent denial of free speech and bias — and the seemingly blatant sham of a ‘townhall’ — many began to shout, some banged windows & doors.”
We need to learn from the civil rights movement — joining hands and singing something like “We shall overcome,” gathering quietly in huge numbers in a dignified manner. Make them look like the out of control, raging lunatics, and us as the innocent victims of their hate and lust for power. Give them no justification to react (bad PR on their part if they do).
Non-violence protest can be a extremely powerful force. We should study and use the methods of the MLK jr. effectively.
BS...prove it

they are making a huge huge mistake...I wonder if they recognize how this is going to backfire on them, yet.
I fear they keep this up. sooner or later someone is going to lose it on either side and it’s going to end up in a firefight.
Really!! The insurance companies made a calculated risk to play nice this time around. They were rolling over until Pelosi started to go after them. They are still holding their fire hoping to be at the table when this passes. Dumb move on their part.
That's freaking awesome. I'm proud that real Americans are starting to stand up to this fascism. Keep throwing the ridicule back in their faces.
Can’t wait to see what Beck says about this tomorrow.
Excellent point! This is not just a debate about health care, this is about freedom.
Thanks for your report.
Looks like the public got locked out of the public meeting.
Smart people gots to stay quiet and see where they nest.
Dingell-berry is 81 years old. There should be a cap on age in the Senate and Congress. How old is Byrd, 91?
