Republicans played a trick on Democrats today by redirecting angry telephone calls coming into their switchboard to the Democratic National Committee, CNN reports.
"The DNC released a Web video early in the morning accusing the GOP of inciting mob activity at town hall meetings. At the end of the video, the DNC instructs people to call the Republican National Committee to express outrage. Callers who dial the RNC's main number to voice their concern about the DNC's charges are told to press 1, which sends them to the DNC's main switchboard."
Update: The Washington Independent reports RNC Chairman Michael Steele took full credit for the phone prank.

The RNC is finally showing some gonads.
I received a personal email about two weeks ago from the DNC Director of Personnel in Washington DC thanking me for my interest in a job with them. Here is a cut and paste of the email.
Thank you for your interest in the Democratic National Committee! I am following up on your resume submission for our HR Generalist opportunity. If you would respond to the following questions via email at your earliest convenience, it will expedite our consideration of your credentials.
1. If you would, please describe/explain the reasons for your career moves/job changes.
2. What about this particular opportunity at the DNC interests you at this time in your career?
3. Please describe one specific accomplishment in your career that aligns closely with the responsibilities of the DNC’s open position.
4. What are your salary requirements?
5. If there is any other information that you’d like to share to help us in our evaluation of your credentials, please add that to the e-mail!

I responded with the following in big bold red type.. “Is this a joke? I never contacted DNC for anything....”
She responded..” So sorry. Please forgive this error. There is a typo in the email address and this was meant for someone else. Again, I am very sorry.”
No wonder they are so screwed up!
They are still a bunch of incompetent country club morons and DC Washingtonian apparatchiks.
If this is the best they can do we are in for a world of hurt.
So... if we show up at a town hall to address our elected officials, we’re a mob. But if the D’s run ad calling for their goons to flood the opposition phone lines, that’s NOT a mob.

Based on the hysteria by the Dems in response to middle class folks standing up to their elitism, I’d say we are really getting to them. Time for the full court press. Some talking head claimed that by the end of August we’d peter out and slink back home quietly. In his face!

I think they may now have a copy of Rules for Radicals. And they need it. Last night at my local Republican club meeting we had over 80 people. We had to get more chairs twice. Normal attendance is around 45 or so.
I talked to a few regulars last night and we have all suspended RNC contributions in favor of candidates who share our values. We are but a small little slice of the GOP. So I think that they much be feeling the pinch from outraged citizens as a whole who look at Snow, Crist, and others of their ilk and say why the hell would I want one thin dime of my money supporting them?

I have never seen people so angry and so frustrated. And not just Caucasians. Blacks are telling me that they are afraid to dissent.
