And then one of our moderators spotted this:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/18018714/Fake-Obama-Kenya-birth-certificate
It has several clues, but also there's this question:
Who is E. F. Lavender?

Earth Friendly Lavender detergent?
Am I allowed to post this? Check it out (don’t click on it if you are easily offended):
Warning...DU wanting members to create fake BC’s

Better stoke up the fire under the server.
The conservative blogosphere in general, and FR in particular, will get bogged down with it, to the detriment of pursuing well known, Constitutional problems with the eligibility of Barack Obama for the office of President.
Oh ... wait. Already happened. Last year.
I would have hoped that before they went public with this, they would have obtained another birth certificate from the same area and era for comparison, and that some effort would have been made to verify authenticity.
There was no point in making this public until they were sure it was real.
It worked for Dan Rather.
There is also and Eric Lavender listed under ‘friends’.
Since the Copy of the Birth Certificates states “Signature of Registrar—— E.F. Lavendar” and the Signature on the bottom of the document is the ‘Deputy Registrar’ and signed by “Joshua Simon Oduya”, that only shows they are two different people representing the government Registrar’s office.
Principal office holder (Registrar) and ‘vice’ or Deputy.
I’m not sure the actual signature of the ‘Registrar’ is needed since the ‘Deputy Registrar’ is a representative of the same government agency.
Personally I’d be a lot more impressed with the libtards if they could produce a real birth certificate but apparently that’s something not even Lord Zero himself can do.
I bet it was planted by Rahmballerina et al—you know it’s a fake when even the DUmmies at DU have gone FReeping on the document! Even quoting fonts questions, etc.—See! DUmmies CAN learn!! :-)
The truth is out there, sure. But Soros’s pockets are mighty deep!!!

That DU post is from about an hour and a half ago.
It was a result of, not a cause of, the Kenya certificate.
This poster thinks the Kenya certificate very well may be legit.
Yep..I agree that caution should be excercised for sure.
Is it me or does it sound like the person who posted that is likely the person who forged the document?
Here’s a link, FWIW.

So what about Orly? Hope she didn’t really try to run with this ....
I suppose this would be an octopus strategy....blind your opponents - in this case with fake documents - to discredit them so the real truth doesn’t come out.
It’s really unbelievable that a POTUS is hiding his BC!
the one he released does not look anywhere as impressive.
If you had read the WND article, you would see that they DID compare it to another certificate from the same period and THEY MATCHED. And both were signed by E.F. Lavender!
An E.F. Lavender worked as a paper pusher for the Australian government in 1915.

I like how some skeptics are claiming EF Lavender is a name of a soap.
