Common DNA Sequences: Evidence of Evolution or Efficient Design? (apoptosis section fascinating!)
Acts & Facts ^ | August 2009 | Jeffrey Tomkins, Ph.D.

Posted on 08/01/2009 7:57:05 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

With the advent of modern biotechnology, researchers have been able to determine the actual sequence of the roughly three billion bases of DNA (A,T,C,G) that make up the human genome. They have sequenced the genomes of many other types of creatures as well. Scientists have tried to use this new DNA data to find similarities in the DNA sequences of creatures that are supposedly related through evolutionary descent, but do genetic similarities provide evidence for evolution?...

Ping!

PS be sure to read the part about apoptosis. I never knew the integral part that apoptosis plays in the formation of the human hand. Needless to say, the process involved is the antithesis of one that would develop by chance plus survival.

All the best—GGG

Given the low caliber of the kooky PhD “scientists” who have surrendered their collective brains to the Temple of Darwin cult, I’m not surprised by your low opinion of PhDs in the least.

Conclusion of the author of Common DNA Sequences: Evidence of Evolution or Efficient Design?:

"The genetic picture that is beginning to emerge is one of incredible networked and regulatory complexity combined with an extremely high level of efficiency in code usage--certainly nothing that could have evolved on its own through chance random evolutionary processes. As is easily seen, trying to use common genes related to common processes as proof of evolution quickly falls apart in light of the bigger genomic picture. In fact, it really speaks of smart coding by the ultimate bio-systems programmer--God Himself."

Why not respond to the article and its conclusion?

What does the underwater basket weaver have a degree in?? What not responding to the question?

If you don’t have enough sense to reply to the question why not show you have a good heart and not launch a personal attack. I bet you claim to be some sort of Christian ,

I’m not surprised by this conclusion. I think we will continue to find that everything in this universe boils down to a basic set of design decisions.

Can I be a Christian and still believe in evolution?

Needless to say, the process involved is the antithesis of one that would develop by chance plus survival.

The process is governed by the laws of physics, chemistry and natural selection.

The jihadist in the creation movement think not.

I keep trying to tell you, don't assume that Creation and Intelligent Desing PhD scientists are of the same low quality as the PhD basket-weavers from the Temple of Darwin cult. Indeed, I'm glad your “scientists” excel at basket-weaving, as that is far more useful to mankind than their vain search for nonexistent evidence in support of Darwood’s unscientific, evo-religious creation myth.

So you think the laws of physics and chemistry plus natural selection explain how the body precisely snips out the tissue between an unborn child’s fingures via apoptosis? Oh, do go on!

No you keep up the same old jihadist posts day in and day out, most often written by people misrepresenting their degrees. So what does the writer have a PH D in. And where does he teach. Simple question.

Ah, it's back to Darwood is it? Of all your silly little nonarguments, this is my least favorite, if only because I'm certain you know better than that.

Speaking of Jihad, most people don’t realize that the greatest number of suicide bombers come from a revolutionary branch of the Temple of Darwin.

It shouldn’t matter. Attack not the arguer, but the argument.
