The entire birther argument, that Obama was actually born in Kenya instead of the US, making him ineligible for holding the office of the President of the US, is a spurious argument. It plays into Obama and the liberals hands - they want this to continue since it makes regular conservatives and opponents into fringe wackos.
Not one of us would've looked harder at his legitimacy than Hilary Clinton and the entire Clinton smear machine during the Democratic primaries. That magic bullet would've given Hilary the presidency - and yet nada, bupkis.
There are many valid reasons to oppose Obama and the liberals, but his birthplace isn't one of them.
“I dont know of anyone who cannot or will not supply a birth certificate or proof of birth.”
The thing is, Obama doesn’t have to produce it. Just like you don’t have to when you walk down the street. No one’s requiring that he does. No lawsuit has ever forced him to. Up to and until anyone can prove in court that he must, it’s not exactly hiding, nor is it eluding the law.
Actually, I think it is eluding the Constitution. And I think that any random citizen should be able to sue to force the president to prove he’s legitimate. Because the Constitution promises us a natural born president, and to deny us one is to impinge on our rights. But there’s no precedent, and the legal establishment disagrees. The simple truth is, the state-level ballots are where the problem should be dealt with. Barring that, the press should help. We’ve systematically failed on both counts.
“The birthers are being played by the master manipulator”
1) We conservatives cannot be more marginalized than we already are. Obama has got the MSM in his pocket.
2) If there is even the slightest chance Obama is hiding stuff on his BC and his college background, we have everything to gain and nothing to lose by calling him on it.
ZOT for what?
“You bought the state media lie.”
Try checking out the conservative media. Or are they in on the lie too (and why)?
Dems will win if voters see the Republicans as the party of conspiracy theorists. We already have a party for them, its the losertarians. But, go ahead, make the right look stupid, Obama loves that.
If you would like to buy off on the premise keeping the long form birth document out of view of the public at a cost of $1 million dollars buttresses your logic, that’s fine by me.
How many cases has he fought to keep it private? Yep, you’re argument is looking better all the time.
The guy was screwing off in high school. His GPA wasn’t stellar. How did he get into the ivy league schools?
Instead all of his records are sealed and without any reason given, including all of his school records.
If it turns out he isn't eligible then we have a real crisis and we all know how much Mr Emanuel likes those. These guys could actually make a run at trying to have a Constitutional Convention under the guise of having to resolve the eligibility issue and then sneak in a few surprises in the 6000 pages of new constitutional amendments.
It just flat out scares me that it just keeps dragging on, when it seems like it could be easily dismissed.
Still have only insults and no facts? I asked several times on this thread for verifiable sources for assertions. I can only assume you can't provide them.
Two days here and posts this tripe.
He's a troll.
“thats right, where are the records? “
So you retract your bogus and unfounded claim that “OBAMA WAS NOT BORN IN HAWAII... HE WAS BORN IN INDONESIA OR KENYA...” ???
Asking for an original birth cert is one thing. (I’d like to see it too.) Asserting a fairy tale story is another. (I’m sure when his birth cert is revealed it will say Honolulu.)
“He was a FOREIGN CITIZEN at birth and you cant deny that because even own website admitted it.”
Doesn’t matter (if he was born a U.S. citizen as well, that is). The U.S. government does not recognize dual citizenship.
You can frame the birther movement whatever way you want, and you can use your straw man arguments to your hearts content, hey, that is all you got, but labeling those who demand that Obama provide important information about his past as nuts, is absolutely and unequivocally nutty in itself. I have never seen such freaking out over a simple request for a 12 dollar birth certificate....its insane and you know it.
He is obviously fighting this simple request so much because he has something to hide, we have a right to know what that is.
Any party that nominates the man that destroyed their control is already too stupid for me to harm.
Fact is that you just don’t know what you’re talking about and I doubt you ever voted R in any election ever.
It’s not just the BC.
It’s everything else that is hidden.
It’s like he was conjured up or something.
He may have had 39 SS numbers.
That alone begs an explanation, doesn’t it?
I can’t think of even one President in my life who has not made their college records public. Bama sold openess to the masses, but instead delivered dishonesty, monster deficits, and corruption.
No tripe, just an opinion.
We are allowed those in America.
You are fully entitled to your opinion, I would never deny you of that. Disagree with me all you want, that is great, accept the fact that others disagree with you.
Its the American way.
Yes, the bc conspiracy only serves the left.
“Do we get to decide what info we are willing to disclose in our daily dealings?”
Running for president isn’t a daily activity. You want to run, you can hide your BC as well.
When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdoms dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.s children. Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4, 1982.
(FactCheck.org, as quoted in Obamas Fight the Smears webpage regarding his birth certificate, emphasis added).
The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that persons allegiance.
However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship.

United States Attorney General, George Williams, whom was a U.S. Senator aligned with Radical Republicans during the drafting of the Fourteenth Amendment in 1866, ruled in 1873 the word jurisdiction under the Fourteenth Amendment must be understood to mean absolute and complete jurisdiction, such as the United States had over its citizens before the adoption of this amendment. He added, Political and military rights and duties do not pertain to anyone else.
