Third Horseman Appears!
Soylent Green Alert!

Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.
"We are a nation built on the strength of individual initiative. But there are certain things that we can't do on our own. There are certain things that only a government can do. And one of those things is ensuring that the foods we eat are safe and don't cause us harm."
America enjoys the worlds safest, highest quality, most abundant, diverse and affordable food supply.
This situation is about to change with the Food Safety Enhancement Act (H.R. 2749) which was scheduled for consideration this week under suspension of the standard rules governing congressional legislation.
The Ranking Member of the House Agricultural Committee urged his colleagues not to rush The Food Safety Enhancement Act (H.R. 2749) through Congress. The move to suspend the rules was defeated by two votes.
The suspension would mean limited debate of 20 minutes and no opportunity to offer amendments. Congressman Frank Lucas (R-Oklahoma) is ringing an alarm. He says the proposed legislation is the result of a flawed and incomplete process that would lead to huge regulatory burdens that will force the majority of Americas farmers and ranchers out of business without contributing much, if anything, to the goal of safer food.
Though the rules have not been suspended, the legislation is still expected to meet with House approval.
Few on Capitol Hill are heeding Congressman Lucass warning.
As proposed by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, H. R. 2749 will grant the Food and Drug Administration the power to regulate all farms and farm produce

So would mine. I just didn’t think I should say it. ;)
They need a controllable population.
Meme Roth, by any chance?
There is a large man-made water shortage in California, on behalf of some “endangered” fish, IIRC.
These people are insane (and I’m going to be saying that a LOT over the next 4 years).
If I’m thinking of the same bill, it was originally introduced under a different bill number by the thing known as Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut, IIRC.
If that happens, I'm gonna start drinking Vodka, cause we be in the Soviet Union then!
Fixed it.
If this country wasn’t lousy with anti-nuke kooks, we could be irradiating food.
Yes, that is correct. The pumps are turned off at Tracy due to court order. On top of that the EPA or some government agency determined that if these minnows are not allowed to live in this man made canal why then killer whales in the Pacific will be affected. Typical liberal/progressive/communist think. The more absurd the claim, the more the stupid people will believe it, because after all the government wonks are just so smart. I wish that people in this country could think for themselves.
Yes, the pony issue is just one of several that our nation’s producers of food must contend with.
One of these days we are going to wake up and wonder where the capacity to produce food in the US went. I can give you a hint... Mexico, Central/South America and China.
With a 20 year career in the university system teaching kids and helping beef producers profitably produce in a humane manner that is sustainable to the environment and their bottom line, I am very concerned where US food production capacity is headed.
When will this country regain its sense of priority? Everything seems so upside down.
btt
Good link.
Thanks for sharing it.
Well Obama is planting the seeds for making CW2 a REALITY.
“This country is either out of control or under the control of a bunch of perverted morons, not to put too fine a point on it!”

I don’t consider those to be mutually exclusive. I just yesterday told someone that it seems that a person must talk like an idiot to be taken seriously now and anyone like Alan Keyes who stands up for traditional American values is labeled an idiot. Up is down, black is white, forward is backward, evil is good, good is evil, the idiots have definitely taken over the asylum, no room for doubt.
“America enjoys the worlds safest, highest quality, most abundant, diverse and affordable food supply.”
Nothing’s perfect. What are the real odds?
How much due to the industrial process itself? Globalization?
How much due to sabotage?
How much due to media hysteria for unknown agenda?
How much is lies?
How much do you trust anything they tell you?
