The fatal flaw with radioactive dating methods
--snip--
This illustrates the problem with the radioactive dating of geological events. Those who promote the reliability of the method spend a lot of time impressing you with the technical details of radioactive decay, half-lives, mass-spectroscopes, etc. But they dont discuss the basic flaw in the method: you cannot determine the age of a rock using radioactive dating because...

Most Christians I know welcome scientific education and they attempt to reconcile it with their particular beliefs. Even in the most difficult moments in that effort I have never known one to discard their Christianity as a result. They just chalk it up as something God will reveal and explain later. Conversely, most evolutionist are the opposite, insisting that the Truth, through the means of science, is on their side. They ridicule creationists and Christians in general as superstitious fools who reject "Truth." You assume falsely that one cannot be a Christian and and evolutionists at the same time.

Alot of closet liberals on FR, I guess they don’t think normal people can actually spot them!

A mechanical engineer, with an honorary degree in earth science, is that not like having a D.D.S. perform neurosurgery?
If he has in fact refuted Radiometric dating why has he not picked up his Noble prize?
You mean like a ditch digger inventing alternating current or a patent clerk coming up with relativity? And FYI, it's "Nobel" Prize.

But it does bolster my theory that Satans been moving fossils around to screw with peoples heads. That sucker steals money too.

Creationism liberal??
Absolutely.
Anything that is counterfactual, lacks a basis in reason, is wrong or just plain stupid is liberal.
Creationism fits in perfectly.
This smacks again of the algores debate is over global warming cult
Exactly. Creationism and "global warming" are functionally the same thing - abject stupidity with no basis in reason or science.
But since when have any of the evo-cultists let the evidence stand in the way of their godless science quests???
Well there are two problems for you right there. First, there isn't a shred of evidence that contradicts evolution.
Not one.
The only one's the 'thumpers think contradict it are those that they simply can't integrate or understand.
The second problem? There is no God*.
Facts support that as well.

Actually you've got it completely backwards with your multiple projections.

Well, let's see those *facts*!

Well, let's see those *facts*!
It's called the universe and the complete absence of any supporting evidence for a creator of any kind.

The second problem? There is no God*. Do you believe there's no reason for you to exist? That you're just one more meaningless creature destined to be destroyed and forgotten?
To: <1/1,000,000th%
Do you believe there's no reason for you to exist?
That depends on what you mean by a "reason."
Do I believe that there is a greater purpose or some divine reason? No.
That you're just one more meaningless creature destined to be destroyed and forgotten?
No matter how you slice it that is the case. . . we, as organisms, exist only for the briefest flicker and then vanish without a trace.
If we figured out how to live a million years that would still be the case.
Our only legacy, however miniscule, is also the true reason for our existence: procreation.

You’re not looking at the evidence properly.
That’s a “you” thingy, not a God thingy.
What’s comical to me is to look at all the vast amount of evidence in the universe and pretend it’s just all here the way it is...out of nothing before...
Oh well “just because”. Some big bangy thing happened and then, well here we are ga-jillions of years later.
For no reason, through no form, no design, no intelligence, no purpose, all by itself.
The evidence is all around you.
In fact, you would be hard-pressed to get away from the evidence of a creator, even when you hold your hands over your ears and scream la-la-la-la-la....

That's a fairly retarded question and typical of a liberal to use emotion in place of reason.
So how does the question or my answer have anything to do with the topic at hand?

Nope. I am, you're not.
You need for there to be a reason. I don't.

Mostly true.
I need/want answers. Real ones.
You've just made something up (or accepted nonsense that someone else made up and indoctrinated you with) and you're calling it good.
Good for you, but don't try and sell me on the tooth fairy.

How PERFECT That the Cretin site links to a CHILDRENS website when it discuses radiometric dating.

Actually, your response is the epitomy of classic liberalism, despite your projections.
You said something about proof that there is no God is the universe itself, and in most sane, logical, well-rounded minds, love exists in this universe. It's what makes you more than any other animal. Rather you understand this or not, recognize it or not, and you don't get to pick and choose what's in the universe.
Now, you should understand conservatives understand love: that is selfless love, and real love, not self-absorbed, "ME" love like liberals define the term. Love outside ones-self, which is why I asked you the question....note I didn't ask you if you loved yourself.
If your answer is emabarassing, or the question was overwhelming, then you should have simply ignored it.
The fact is... no matter what your replies are now, you've not only answered my questions, but you also utterly destroyed your own position, while proving my points for me AND managed to expose yourself as a self-absorbed liberal.
The way I see it now, about the only thing you have left going for you now is: no one knows if you're a 13 year old angry at God in your parents basement pounding your drivel out on their PC.

Actually...you don’t want real answers, what you want are comfortable ones. Ones that don’t threaten your liberal sensibilities.
Look, in all seriousness, don’t go through life like the guy in the cartoon with God sitting down the little chap on his knee in a cloud and explaining and re-explaining to you His existence after you’re dead and gone, with the next caption that says:
“Well, *I* know I’ve tried”! shaking His head.
(You know, as opposed to “The Lord knows I’ve tried”?)
The inability to see things outside of your understanding is only a ticket to disaster. Permanent disaster.
And no, I didn’t make the rules.
And in all honesty, once you accept this, rules don’t mean anything to you anymore anyway. Not those kinds of rules.
It reminds me of the scene in Band of Brothers...”soldier, you just don’t realize you’re already dead”.
God is all around you, rather you accept it or not.
