After being attacked by groups ranging from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to Media Matters for relentlessly calling on Barack Obama to prove his eligibility for the office of the presidency, CNN's Lou Dobbs wasn't backing off on either his syndicated radio or his television program today.
Once again, he renewed his calls for Obama to produce his long-form birth certificate that would settle doubts about where he was born and offered that the president's actions could actually be "illegal."
Dobbs took on the special-interest groups demanding that CNN shut him up.
"The left is trying to silence their opponents and their competitors in the public marketplace of ideas," he said on his radio show. "One issue in which the ethnocentric issue groups have been trying to silence me is on the issue of illegal immigration. Many of those, if you will, have migrated to me here recently because I, even though I said I believe the president is a citizen of the United States, I don't understand why he shouldn't produce a birth certificate. My God, you're talking about the third rail of American journalism, baby! That's it. I'm not going to back off."

I like Lou. He is the real deal while O’Reilly is a phony. Lou Dobbs does not back down.
This is a point I just don’t understand: he could easily make the whole thing go away, if in fact it is not true. Either he has something to hide or he is going to make a bunch of us look very foolish at some point in the future.

My TV is incapabale of tuning to CNN but I will make a point to watch Lou.
The one honest man left on TV and maybe Beck. Hannity has not sold out too.
I hope CNN tries to muzzle Lou and he goes to Fox. I would love to see Lou kick O’Reilly’s arse in the ratings.
If he produces the real BC we wont look foolish. We would have succeeded in our goal. I believe every birther would agree that that document is the best evidence and we would be satisfied once it is produced.
As far as what it says, let the chips fall where they may. The real story will be what’s in it, not us.

His actions in not responding for such an extended period , assuming he can produce a document showing natural born US citizenship , have already reached the point where any PR hit to the (to use their word) birthers is already greatly reduced... the truth is that he cannot produce and he will continue stonewalling until he has full dictatorial power and then we will be hunted down and sent to camp.
I am sure he will do that once an actual court demands that documentation. But, it does not appear that any court has seen all that much evidence that Obama was born on Kenya, and his mother smuggled him into the US just after sending an email to the Hawaiian newspapers asking them to announce the birth of her son.
That was moi. ;) As I posted on another thread, Bill read about five letters tonight all slamming him on his take on the issue. Bill then said that The Factor saw the proof—birth announcements (I assume from the papers) and that the Kenyan grandmother story was a myth. He then said they might have Lou on tomorrow. I think Bill loves this story!

$12 and it all goes away... it’s so easy, even a caveman could do it. He’s got to be dirty.
I also saw BOR say Lou would be on, but I don’t think he said when. I hope Lou makes a fool out of that pompous windbag BOR. I really don’t like him anymore. I was born in a different town from where my mother grew up. I’m sure that there was an announcement in that town’s paper as my mother’s mother and other family still lived there, as well as the town where I was born. That birth announcement proves NOTHING and BOR keeps saying it does.
