HONOLULU -- State officials again are confirming that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Monday she has seen the original birth records that verify Obama was born in Hawaii, and is a "natural-born American citizen."
Fukino made the announcement in hopes of ending any lingering rumors about Obama's citizenship. She issued a similar press release Oct. 31.

Wish I knew.
if, using your logic, that he cannot be president because his parents are not of the same nationality, then that would mean that despite my parents being born here and I was born on US soil, I cannot run for President because my father is of Irish decent and my mother is of German descent, correct?
Didn't understand what you read, did you? Oh and McCain had TWO American parents. Read again what I posted.
Clueless, thy name is DJ MacWow.
You can't even come up with anything original noob. *sniff sniff* There's that odor.
Okubo isnot a doctor. She's the Director of Communications for the Hawaii Department of Health. The head of the department is Chiyome Fukino, M.D. She is the one who just violated Hawaii law by divulging the contents of Obama's Original"vital records" (Her words, she did not say "birth certificate", "certificate of live birth", or "certification of live birth". So one is left to wonder just what is was she saw. Although technically only the Certificate of Live Birth (aka long form birth certificate) is an "original" document.
Her statement is on line, as a pdf file, at the Hawaii Department of Health website. She wrote/said:
I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawai‛i State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.
Perhaps BHO Sr is not listed as the father on the BC? But if that is the case, Obama and his campaign are guilty of forging an official docment, and committing a provable fraud upon the American people.
Judges don't usually accept press releases as evidence. They want testimony and/or certified documentation.
The problem remains getting a judge to ask for or look at, evidence.
The comparison that I was giving was the judge hearing from “granny” and the judge hearing from the State of Hawaii... hence, my statement...
I can hear it now... But judge, the granny said.... ... LOL...
What? A faked COLB and two mystery long-form BCs we haven't seen? I didn't bother to read the rest of your post, because the first sentence was an outright lie. BTW, only one birth certificate needs to be released, not three. Three? LOL at you, and welcome to FreeRepublic!!
Those have not changed since The Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth. That's the day the Constitution was signed and passed by the Constitutional convention.
But if you prefer the ratification date that was: The Twenty first Day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty eight and of the Independence of the United States of America the Thirteenth.
There having been no amendments changing the defintion, it means what it meant when written, adopted and ratified in 1787-1788.
It also includes was his mother able to confer citizenship at that time. Was he adopted before age of 5? Did he have Indonesian citizenship? All can change his status. It is not simply was he born in Hawaii, but all the circumstances combined that make the decision on natural born citizenship.
Actually none of those matter, IF he was born in Hawaii, for his status as a Natural born citizen. The nationality of his father OTOH, may matter a lot. But that is a subject for courts, not medical bureaucrats.
The law, that is statute law, cannot change the requirements for natural born citizenship, they are what they are, short of a Constitutional amendment, they cannot be changed.
What you are thinking of is the requirement for person born outside the United States of one citizen and one non citizen parent to be a citizen at birth, but since the Congress made those laws, and changes them from time to time, once since Obama's birth (changes bearing on this matter that is). But again, those only apply to children born outside the territory of the US.
The pdf statement isn’t signed or notarized. Anybody could have made that statement. More importantly, should the need arise in the future, Dr. Chiyome Fukino could refute the statement without her signature and notarization.

It was, and is after the 14th birthday. But that rule only applies to children born outside the US. The requirement was changed to 5 years and 2 years in 1986, a bit late to help Obama, if had been born outside the us.
Not on birth certificates, there have been lots of early '60s BCs posted here, they all use Caucasian. What is in disput is that they also would not have used "African" but rather Negroid or Negro. The third choice would have been "Mongoloid"
Thanks much- yes fantastic article. Thanks again.
A breathless work!

Eyecatching!!
Because I don't spin my wheels explaining to someone that doesn't understand.
Good night.
It's the official position of the Director of Health of the State of Hawaii. Try getting taking in a press release the next time you need to present your birth certificate. Long or short form. Won't matter if it's from the state you live in now, or a different one. If an employer can ask for a copy, and the federal government as an employer not only can, they do. A federal judge can ask for a copy, she could even order one produced, that is allowed by Hawaiian law as long as the court is one of competent jurisdiction. There is no federalism issue here.
