Though Americans still blame former President George W. Bush for the ailing economy, Barack Obama faces dropping approval ratings amid doubts that he has a clear plan for fixing the economy.
A FOX News poll released Thursday shows approval of Obama's job performance at a new low of 54 percent. That is down from 62 percent in June.
By a wide margin, Americans think former President Bush is more responsible for the current state of the nation's economy (61 percent blame Bush and 16 percent Obama). And despite the trillions spent by the Obama administration to try to revive the economy, far more Americans blame Bush for the current size of the budget deficit: 53 percent think Bush is more responsible and 28 percent say Obama.

Poop. Didn’t see that.
I guess I’m in that 50%.
TOP TEN INDICATORS THAT YOUR EMPLOYER HAS CHANGED TO OBAMA’S DEATH CARE PLAN:
(10) Your annual breast exam is done at Hooters.
(9) Directions to your doctor’s office include “Take a left when you enter the trailer park.”
(8) The tongue depressors taste faintly of Fudgesicles.
(7) The only proctologist in the plan is “Gus” from Roto-Rooter.
(6) The only item listed under Preventative Care Coverage is “an apple a day.”
(5) Your primary care physician is wearing the pants you gave to Goodwill last month.
(4) “The patient is responsible for 200% of out-of-network charges,” is not a typographical error.
(3) The only expense covered 100% is . “Embalming.”
(2) Your Prozac comes in different colors with little M’s on them.
AND THE NUMBER ONE SIGN YOU’VE JOINED
OBAMA’S DEATH CARE PLAN:
(1) You ask for Viagra, and they give you a Popsicle stick and duct tape
I wouldn't doubt it. Still feel that the majority of Americans are dumb cult followers and never will go against the hand that feeds them.
GROSS
Meanwhile, the Banking Queen gets to keep her tiara and male escorts...
This poll is bogus. There is no way that it is accurate:
1)Three polls, the PPP poll on July 20th, the ARG poll yesterday and the Rasmussen Daily tracking poll (RDTP)all confirm that Obama’s favorable/unfavorable number to be in the high single digits and not a 16 point gap (54-38)
2)The PPP, ARG and RDTP all confirm that Obama is opposed now by over 4 out of 5 Republicans. The Fox poll only shows 3 in 4.
3)The Diageo/The Hotline issued July 15th shows Obama has lost 15% among independent voters (indies) in one month-63% to 48%; in addition Rasmussen reported on July 18th that indies STRONGLY DISAPPROVED of Obama by 43% (this does not include those who somewhat dispprove of Obama). For Fox to claim that Obama is only seen as UNFAVORABLE by 36% of American indies is preposterous and sheer fantasy.
4)Poll after poll taken in the last 3 months show Sarah with a 75% favorability rating among Republicans; for Fox to suddenly declare Sarah is only favored by 67% of Republicans is beyond belief.
5)If Fox is right in claiming that Palin’s overall favorable/unfavorable is now 38/51 and Obama’s is 54/38 which is a 27 point overall gap how did PPP come to the conclusion that Palin is now trailing Obama by only 8 points in a head-to-head matchup and Rasmussen to conclude that Palin is only trailing Obama by 6 points in a head-to-head matchup. By the way a Gallup poll on July 16th found Palin’s overall favorables/unfavorables to be 43/45.
6)Where Fox’s figures get real wacky is when they say that Palin’s indie favorables/unfavorables are 33/55 and claim that Obama is at 54/36. That’s an overall gap of 40 points in Obama’s favor and a 21 point lead among indie favorables for Obama. In May PPP showed Sarah at 34/50 with indies. But Fox’s poll was done a couple of days ago. Three PPP polls June 18th, July 8th, and July 20th all show Sarah with a low single digit +rating in the indie favorable/unfavorable rating and suddenly Fox unreasonably is claiming a -22 number in Sarah’s indie favorable/unfavorable numbers. These numbers are beyond fantasy.
In addition on the head to head matchup with Obama, Rasmussen finds Obama beats Palin 47 to 41 among indies which is also confirmed by the PPP poll on July 20th which shows exactly the same totals in the head-to-head matchup.
This poll definitely appears ‘to have an agenda’ to prop up Obama’s favorables and to make it appear that Palin is doing far worse than she is actually doing.
LMBO!
LOL Laugh of the day.
Now I’m going to lay down an cry.
IMO, Fox can’t be trusted anymore then the others.
I think these are push polls too, and they are what’s driving the obummer team to believe they can keep touting the inherited line and it’s going to resonate.
They are VERY wrong IMO, and it is going to backfire on them.
Agreed. I came to that conclusion during the Republican primaries because of one rather profound, interesting, and big story, and to a genuine news-driven "we report, you decide" organization it wouldn't have mattered who the candidate was, Liberal or Conservative. There was one particular candidate who, in less than half the time and at a fraction of the cost, had managed to catch up and be nipping at the heels of his primary opponents in opinion polls and primary returns.
That candidate, who had made in any terms miraculous progress against incredible odds, was Fred Thompson. To the GOP elite talking heads of Fox, it was as if it wasn't happening at all. There was a moratorium on even mentioning his name, or only in passing, even when he came in third in one or two state primaries! The Fox talking heads spent quite a lot more time talking about the primary candidates who got fewer votes than Thompson did!!!! (I forget which primaries, now). That's when I saw the light.
I was sadly, totally disillusioned with Britt Hume -- I lost all my respect for him. He had me fooled; I thought he was genuinely interested in reporting what was happening, and letting viewers decide. But clearly, he was more interested in using the news-reporter platform to sway opinion, in this case, making sure that Thompson was ignored. Hume is now no different to me than any of the other MSM talking heads.
So for me, Fox News is generally as suspect as the rest of the MSM when it comes to Dem-GOP party politics.
Such utter crap. Bush is not to blame.
Of course, the idiots in the LameStream Press have been so busy fellating Hussein the last 9 months, Mr. Joe Average Viewer can’t see the facts.
I told a very smart and savvy man today about the little sentence in the CBO(?) report on the economy this week stating they did not expect any net gain of jobs in the US over then next five years. That SHOCKED him into silence.
This stuff is not going to be able to be successfully hidden by the press for much longer.
