The insane conspiracy theory called the “Birther movement” is gaining support among Republican politicians. Now there’s actually a bill sponsored by Republicans that panders to these nuts. I hate it when I agree with Chris Matthews, but he’s right on this issue — this madness is embarrassing, self-destructive, and above all mind-bogglingly schtoopid.
And it’s spreading.

Well, she maybe an Allinsky follower but she wanted the Presidency. I don’t understand why she wouldn’t have blown him out of the water with it. Or why McCain, at age 72 or whatever, knowing he has nothing to lose, didn’t use it.

If the Governor of Hawaii releases his birth certificate in response to a signed release form from Obami, I doubt that a single person in this world would question it. At that point, they would be questioning her, not it. I only said it would lay the question of his birthplace to rest. And as far as all the rest of what you said, you act like this would be a bad thing. Also, this whole issue is starting to cause demoralization and dissension in the ranks of the military. As CIC, Obami should be trying to put an end to this because of it's corrosive effect on moral and discipline. That issue right there puts the burden back on him, and now you. Given that, YOU now need to explain to US why he has not released the document.

For the same reason we all hate people that came up with the 9-11 conspiracy, or the we didn’t land on the moon goofballs, etc, etc is the same reason why this thing makes so many conservatives look dumb.

Really, the only thing it tells me is that they didn't use it. As for McLaim, he didn't want to win the election in the first place, but that's another issue. As for Phil Berg, I don't give a rats butt about him one way or the other. He has nothing to do with whether or not Obami was born in Hawaii or not. Nice try at blowing smoke though. Nothing so noble. They're afraid of looking stupid -- in other words, they care so much about what other people think of them that they allow themselves to be manipulated by other people.
Birthers, on the other hand, are part of a group of original, independent-minded self confident risk takers: they've got more important things to worry about than whether or not other people are impressed or not with what they do. They're more immune to manipulation by peer pressure and pop culture.
There are lots of Democrats in those States, and RINOs (who do you think is behind the constant battering of Palin with ethics complaints? Conspiracy!). So is THIS a conspiracy? Well, let's see. If the birth certificate is ever forced to be shown, and then it shows that Obama is illegitimate, then, given all the sources you've cited, how could it not have been a conspiracy?
And that's hardly reversing the argument, because what's missing here is ANY argument NOT to show it. So, why not simply show it now, and nail all the "conspiracy theorists" once and for all? Wouldn't that be an absolutely massive political win for the Left?
FYI, conspiracies are the way the world works. Ever plan a surprise birthday party? Conspiracy. Ever team up at all for anything without telling others? Conspiracy. And those are legal conspiracies. You think criminals don't use the same method, too? LOL!
Other than to occasionally mouth the dem talking points about factcheck.org, elected and appointed Republicans aren't diverting a second to the issue. The GOP hasn't gone near this. This is authentic grass roots stuff, and that's what scares the bejeebers out of Obama.
This is a twofer. Not only do we get to watch the Obama faction go into meltdown, we get to see their Republican political hack enablers demonstrate for the world what a bunch of spineless jellyfish they really are.

Two Hawaii newspapers published his birth announcement (see image above). I suppose B.O.'s mom and dad knew he was going to be President of the US one day so they had them publish this announcement the year of his birth.
Seriously, people really really need to get off this one and focus on all the absolute destruction he is doing to us with his policies.
H.R. 1503, even if passed today, would not compel Obama to prove natural born eligibility. Yes, it would come into play in a filing for re-election. And that's something. But there is zip zero nada chance the democrats will put this into committee, much less a floor vote. Again, my point is that this issue is not a GOP one, and this bill, however laudable from a scant few of the R reps, is not what's propelling the issue into the news. It's the citizenry.
