Detroits death spiral began with Coleman Youngs failed administration.
From 1974 until he left in 1994 Detroit became the quintessential liberal Democrat city. It offered nothing but high crime and low prospects and accelerated White middle class flight.
When the under skilled and overmatched Kwame Kilpatrick was carted off to prison the Motor City virtually ceased to exist. Now after 50 years of inept Democrat political hack administrations Detroit is among the worst places in live in America.
For the past three years FBI statistics have shown Detroit is the murder capital of the nation. Per capita it is more dangerous than Baghdad. Even the outgoing fired Police Chief went home to find his house ransacked by burglars. There are neighborhoods in the city so desolate the police havent patrolled [them] in years.
The situation in the city they call Motown is such that a huge section has been described as 30 square blocks of urban prairie.
Detroits poor condition and decimation is hard to imagine.
These facts paint the picture of what 50 years of Democrats has brought
There are over 16, 000 foreclosed homes in the city, many of which have been taken over by squatters much as could be expected in the old Wests ghost towns.
In January Detroits unemployment hit 22.2%!
Even before the full destructive force of Barack Obamas Marxist policies have been felt, a Detroit real estate agent reported selling a house for a single dollar. He had at least four more $1.00 homes, 1228 houses for sale at under $10,000 and 209 of them under $1,000!
The median selling price of a house in Detroit has tumbled from $66,000 to $5,800 since 2002.
Fifty years of swallowing Democrat lies has gotten Detroiters ever increasing misery. Now they must take responsibility for their votes.

Memphis is not far behind.
Any stats on results of the education system? Graduation rate, drop-out rate, cost per student, etc
exactly ! with brand new $500 rims that spin when you stop!
And where is the guy out front with his baggy pants and gold chains talking on a cell phone trying to hook up a crack deal?
Crud. I screwed up my first post with the wrong verb.
It is funny that GM and Detroit are going the same road as 20th Century Motors and Starnesville.
Stong headline. Much needed.
Unfortunately, the “werkin’ man” in the northeast and upper midwest tends to vote for the Democrats.
They are true to their mission.
Way back in the 60s we called it the “winter, water, welfare wonderland” a takeoff on the Michigan license plate slogan.
Detroit is the antithesis of free trade. Run by Democrats for 50 years and its still the Republicans fault.
The real cause of Detroit’s destruction cannot be spoken of on FR.
How about some of the citizens that are left, declare themselves Republican and offer up ideas and say. Vote for me!
Are you sure that was not a link to Hiroshima 1948?
It’s somewhere out in the yard. If it was attached to the house it would look tacky.
Talk about not worth the commission.
I’d assume that there’s something of value left in the building. Bricks maybe?
This is because the airport is not in Detroit. It's in Romulus, which is well outside of the city.
From someone who lives here, take it from me, Detroit's constituency LIKES THE WAY THEY LIVE.
Just like the Palestinians, or the homeless, the citizens of Detroit relish their victim-hood, and want to remain in the “struggle”.
Being a victim is addicting, and it means one does not have to do the hard work of living life, the drudgery of going to work everyday, making hard decisions, taking responsibility, having no one to blame but yourselves.
Detroit will never capitulate to whitey (the man), never.
How about some of the citizens that are left, declare themselves Republican and offer up ideas and say. Vote for me!
Grassroot conservatives willing to do that and buck the RINO establishment have had to go third party because populist agendas are not welcome by the multinational corporate lobbyists.
