The increasingly popular term for them is "Birthers" -- the indignant, frantic, seething fringe Republicans who are persuaded that there is strong doubt about where President Barack Obama was born and, therefore, strong doubt about the legitimacy of his presidency.

Even assuming Obama was born in Kenya despite the considerable evidence that he was born in Hawaii, that five-year provision in the law was intended, pretty clearly, to prevent a person from claiming U.S. citizenship when he was born in another country to parents who were long-time residents of that country, simply on the grounds that one of his parents was still, technically a U.S. citizen.
Say "Jim" is born in the U.S., lives here until he's 11, moves with his parents to Germany, comes of age there, marries a German woman and, when he's 25, has a child. As a matter of national policy and common sense, we don't want Jim's child to be able to claim automatic U.S. citizenship -- he is born in Germany to long-time residents of Germany. Declaring him a U.S. citizen is fundamentally absurd.
The thinking behind the law seems to be that if Jim spent at least five of his 10 years after age 14 in the U.S. before moving to Germany, he has been sufficiently "Americanized" that his children shall be considered U.S. citizens.
It's fairly clear to me and, should push come to shove, will be fairly clear to the courts and to Congress, that the law was not intended to be a "gotcha!" moment used to deny citizenship to the children of life-long U.S. citizens in their late teens who happen to be out of the country when they give birth.

We can, however, keep up the birther pressure. The more we drive it home and keep is in the forefront, the more the other side begins to believe there might be something to it afterall. Eventually, the Democrats will do what Democrats do best; they will turn on their own and throw Obama under the bus. Biden will then be POTUS while Obama will be taken away to await trial for Treason.
Now, how do we go about removing this imposter from our house?

If he did this....the baboon is a lying scumbucket one way or the other...to his college (Occidental?) he is a foreing student entitled to scholarships, to his nation he is an American citizen.

Eventually Obama will be removed from Office. I even predict that it will be because the Democrats have turned on him in the hope of protecting their own butts from the ground swell of evidence that is being amassed.

I think I can say I followed this controversy fairly well and when I finished this piece I said: WHAT??!!
Add too that Medved is a dirtball. He and Hugh Hewitt sought to diffuse the Shiavo “radicals” at the height of that controversy, blaring that they musn’t incite the storming of that place to rescue her...and I’d guess he said there too such stormers - or even those who’d so agree and thus incite-would be the “greatest enemies...”
Haven’t listened to him since. I might deign to tell him, if I have a chance, the greatest enemies of the conservative movement (those inside it I presume we speak of) are moderates like him. They pretty much stick to the ‘culture conservative’ thing with the endless lesson-giving and that’s it, always looking to denounce the ‘far right’ for even the slightest talk of ACTING on correct patriotic sensibilities.

They are focusing on his foolish mistakes with North Korea more than anything else (this is what directly effects them so close to the DPRK), and now on his inability to turn around the US economy, despite many 2008 pledges and “hope”, and of course the lock stock and barrell nationalization/socialismization of everything back there in the States. I have not yet seen big Japanese coverage on this Birth Certificate (BC) over here yet, but I know how to (or I know people who) can throw it in the feeding trough of Japanese journalism, and kick it up a few notches if needed. I know a few good weeklies and monthlies that would love to kick up the dust on this and smoke this phony out good.
True, but you can try someone who has spent the past year aiding and abetting him, refusing to vet him, refusing to do real investigative journalism, refusing to bring this under judicial review, congressmen refusing to demand the birth certificate and investigate, et. al. for high treason and they ARE citizens. I won't settle for anything less than heads rolling somewhere. There needs to be an example set so horrifying that IT NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN!
U. S. Constitution, Article Six Oath of Office for elected officials:
” The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
These folks are duty bound to support the very document from which they derive their powers. They cannot ignore any portion of it without undermining their authority over the people. It is not a pick and choose document. Any one of these people has the legal standing to demand to see the long form birth certificate of anyone seeking to be President and no judge can deny them for it would be asking them to ignore the law while trying to enforce it at the same time.
We need to start pressing legal charges against all of our local representatives and senators covered by the oath of office in Article six for disobeying their oaths to support the Constitution as it pertains to the language of section three of the Twentieth amendment. Put PRESSURE on them to represent the document that gives them their authority in the first place. We are looking into how best to do this down here. We all should be looking into this approach. NOW.

The Immigration and Nationality Act 1952 U S C 1401 (a)(7), has nothing to do with who is eligible to become President. For one thing a law can’t change the Constitution. Laws are struck down every year because they conflict with the Constitution.
There are no big words in the paragraph of Article II, Section 1 that should be beyond the writer’s comprehension. Even the poor soul who wrote this piece should have the mental capacity to understand everything in that paragraph. If he doesn't, surely he can find someone who isn’t the product of government schools to read it to him and explain it to him.
Anyone not born in the U.S. or on a U.S. military base is not eligible to be President. The ONLY way to change that is to amend the Constitution.
Now for my next dumb question...
What is the legal action that can be taken against any representative that refuses to carry or obey the constitution?
It looks as if this could a very lengthy legal ordeal at best.
By the time it is resolved we will be ready for the next presidential election anyway.
ABSO Fricken LUTELY! I've been saying this myself. Our congressmen refusing to demand this man's qualifications and investigate the lack thereof have committed HIGH TREASON in my view. There need to be filed 500+ accusations of treason within all 50 states and they need to be filed yesterday. They need to be held to account or our country is finished.
