Should President Obama Control The Internet?

President Barack Obama wants to control the internet.

And if our President has his way, this website may soon be under legal attack from the White House.

Since the internet’s emergence in the private sector (it actually began in the public sector, through developments at the U.S. Department of Defense back in the 1960’s), officials in our U.S. Government have generally viewed the internet as a good and necessary thing.

In 1996, when former Sun Microsystems Officer John Gage began a movement to get high-tech companies involved in providing internet infrastructure for the world’s schools, libraries, and clinics, President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore marked the first ever “NetDay” celebration by traveling to Concord, California, and spending the day re-wiring a high school campus with computer cables.

Similarly, both President Clinton and President George W. Bush pushed for “every school in America” to be connected to the world wide web, and internet connectivity generally flourished around the globe under the leadership of both Presidents, and by both public and private funding means.

Why are you asking us? Ask Al Gore - he invented it, so wouldn’t it be his to give away?

Should President Obama Control The Internet?

Should President Bush Have Controlled The Internet?

The obvious answer -- regardless of who's in the executive office -- should be a big, fat NO.

Heck the fraud shouldn’t even be controlling ANYTHING in the Federal Government. As far as I am concerned he is a fraud until he quits stalling and opens his own records — long form birth certificate, college records, and passport records.

If government ever does cease control and censure the internet, then we need plans for the undernet.

Free exchange of thoughts and ideas is not compatible with the new America. The people are going to be told by the government what they can think or say. We will be told that we can say anything we like, we just aren't allowed to say anything we don't like.

See "1984" by George Orwell.

He would probably have to get permission from the internet’s inventor. I think AL would rather have control.

That’s what ObamaCare is all about. He wants to control your life and your death too. His henchmen in the Congress are groveling to obey his orders.

There is no “internet.” There is no central location or entity that is the “internet.” The internet is the name given to the ability to access another computer from one’s computer, and to exchange data, web pages, pictures and files.
Controlling the “internet” really means controlling the free exchange of speech.
The internet is only a means of connecting computers. It can not be controlled by a government entity. That would be like the government going into the telephone company switching stations and fooling around with the wires and connections.
What they really want to do, and it is their intention, is to control the free exchange of ideas between individuals.
And that is illegal and unconstitutional.

What the hell,,,Why not? Lets just swear him in as president for life and be done with it! I was listening to that Allman Bros song the other day, the one about feeling like he’s “tied to the whipping post”.

I never knew it was a political song until Obama came along.
