Walter Cronkite dead Who besides his family gives a s*it?
To: WashingtonSource
How many Americans died in Vietnam because he gave the enemy hope?

“It just kind of flowed out of me and I guess I surprised myself, I am not proud of it but I stand by my comments.”
Well, whatever you said, I’m sure untold numbers of Vietnamese boat people at the bottom of the South China Sea, or those in shallow graves in Cambodia, would have agreed with you. IMO he showed his true (Red) colors when we had the occasion to battle a Soviet-style socialist enemy, rather than German national socialism.
To: Jmouse007
I will remember him as the guy who single-handedly cost America the Vietnam War which led to the deaths of millions of people in SE Asia. Me too.

I am so sorry that you posted that line, my gosh, I am laughing and here a man has passed away...although, at his age, I suppose it was going to have to happen sooner or later. I mean...geeeez....but you are absolutely atrocious, making thatcomment. and yet. I am laughing outloud nonstop! Too much.

Right. First we had Pedophile Jackson for two weeks; and now re-visiting this flaming liberal hack for the next fortnight.
Please God, shoot the TV for me!
Or, better yet — why don't you get me a job with Social Security, so I can sit on my can at a plush resort in Phoenix — by the pool, of course — and drink myself to oblivion with some sweet chicks `close by — all on the the backs of you dumb taxpayers!

>>And for the venom-spitters here: Shame on all of you. Shame.<<
The man was a nickel-plated 100% traitor who started the tradition of spinning the news to match his anti-American agenda. He handed the war to the enemy (we were winning) and is responsible for millions of deaths, thousands of them being American GIs, and the resulting instability in that part of the world.
He deserves venom spit. And p!ss on his grave.

Yup. I don't even know why I opened the thread. It's sad to see the low grade type of posts that are thrown up on this board."
What did you think was going to happen, don-o?? You've been here long enough to know how these death threads go. Some people cannot be tactful. On the other hand and considering who's being discussed here, some might be being as tactful as they can. This man stirred up a lot of hatred.

At a loss for words...yet, I recall all the mean hateful things that the DU crowd uttered when Tony Snow died and it is hard for me to generate real sympathy to the man who helped us lose Vietnam. Still, I suppose there is good in everyone so RIP Walter. You were indeed once the voice of America!

Those who say no to God go to hell and thats that, forever. Period. Purgatory is not about eternal destiny but about healing the wound left behind by sin, sin that God has forgiven when you repented of it Isn't purgatory a Catholic tenant? I'm not Catholic. What if others were to pray to God to forgive a sinner and to allow them to enter heaven? I'm a believer of, "Forgive them for they know not what they do".

Tony is definitely missed. I really wish we could hear something reassuring from him during this whole cap and trade and health care mess. :-(

Yeah...I don't like to see profanity (aside from hell or damn-don't know why that is, it just is) on Free Republic.
This forum is a class act, one of if not THE best on the web. Lots of agreement there.
