"Fast forward to today.....may I suggest that our members support and purchase tickets to the Freeper National Convention in DC in September rather than make the not-so-keen Mr. Keene look good to his fellow Palin-haters who are organizing the conference?"
You betcha! My money will go only for support of real conservatives and the RINOS can go join all the DEMS!
Our National Freeper Tea Party Convention in DC will be the place to be from 9/11 to 9/13! :)

Youve got to recognize that there are people who want you to fail, Keene says. And if you spend your time worrying about them, or whining about what they say, at the very least itll get you off your game, because you ought to be worried about what youre going to do, not about what theyre going to do to you. This is stupid squared. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Keene needs to understand that conservatives have to take on the media at every opportunity. That he doesn't understand that speaks ill of his intellect and testosterone count.

I don’t care about CPAC. When they were cheering Romney that did it for me whatever respect I could have had for them evaporated. We need to get away from the inside the beltway groups that claim to stand for conservatives. They are in part why we lost this last election. If Romney runs again he will be torpedoing the party once again. I also hope that Huckabee stays out of the race, I don’t think he wants to run. I’d like to see it come down to Sarah and Romney going head to head during the primary. I’d like to see and help her kick his Northeast liberal rhino butt.

“She’s not ready” is a valid opinion.
But this Keene endorsed Arlen Specter in the 2004 primary. I’m not really interested in his opinions after that.

I was active as a YAF state leader from 1969 to about 1975. We are almost contemporaries. I met Keene in YAF as well and was not impressed. While accomplishing nothing at ACU, Keene undoubtedly draws a good paycheck from movement funds along with a few old friends.
God bless you and yours!

What state were you in? I was active at first in NY, then NJ, and eventually in Florida. My first national convention was 1962 and my last was 1977.

CT, usually allied with NJ (Big Bill ???), CA (Bill Saracino), NC (Harold Herring), IL (Fran Griffin), FL (Charlie Black) and not with NY although I was friendly with Herb Stupp but much less so with Ron Docksai. I attended Pittsburgh (1967), Houston (1971), DC (1973) and Chicago (1975). I did not attend St. Louis (1969) and would have opposed John Sainsbury’s Objectivist candidacy even then although I was acquainted with David Nolan (SIL, Liberty Amendment).

Big Bill ???The same. I guess you also knew my good friend Joseph Leo, a YAF founder. I understand there were some unfortunate personal conflicts in Ct. YAF in laater days.
