Business Week ^ | 7/7/2009 | Peter Coy

At a speech in Singapore on July 7, Obama adviser Laura Tyson, stressing that she was expressing a personal opinion, said the package approved in February was "a bit too small," according to a Bloomberg news report.

“Consensus of everyone I talk to is:

VOTE THEM ALL OUT

The anger is now palpable and growing worse. Tsunami growing.”
+++++++++++++

Yes, that was the consensus at the July 4th Tea Party in Olympia, WA - where 1,000 of us gathered on that normally laid back, picnic and family and friends oriented day. The anger was truly palpable - I love the thought of a Tsunami of common sense conservatism - washing over these idiots...how sweet that sounds...let’s not give up!

Typical Socialist/Leftist/Democrat/Liberal/Commie-Pinko’s creating control through fear by regulating the sources of their theft to give to those undeserving of that which they have stolen from the fearful regulated sources for votes, for power, for want of adulation, and fawning.

The sign on Capitol Hill needs to read: “CAUTION: Despots at work”.

You hit the nail on the head.

Whenever a big government program fails, the answer is always, “we didn’t fund it enough.”

“Stay focused people..call your senators about the capntax bill and the healthcare bill.. and yes, go ahead and mention you don’t want a second pork bill either..but stay focused. This is to distract folks.

An outrage an hour, designed to wear us all down.

KEEP CALLING AND WRITING ON ALL OF IT!!”

Good point - it is important for those of us who are activists - to understand what’s happening - and that’s why discussing these items - as outrageous as they are - will help us to maintain level headed strategy - as you suggest.

No “stimulus” bill would have been big enough - because the “stimulus” is being applied in the wrong way. If the Federal Government, instead of borrowing into the foreseeable future and beyond, has simply said, “We are suspending the collection of ALL income taxes, both individual and corporate, for the next three years”, it would have cost them much less, and the economic growth resulting from that suspension would have more than paid for the total rebate within a decade.

One way out of debt is to GROW your way out of it. Raise your income to such level that there is more income than outgo.

Or reduce the amount of the outgo. That is where the real sacrifice comes.

“If it was such a good idea in the first place, why in the heck not do it again and again. Every quarter? How about every week. We can stimulate everybody into a billionaire. Of course a loaf of bread would end up costing two billion.”
++++++++++++

Right. And about 3 people will have enough money to buy bread...sounds almost apocolyptic. Hmmm...please pass me that copy of Rules for Radicals...something about overwhelming the system...

“Any vote, democrat, independent or republican, in favor of a second stimulus package should be voted out of office as soon as possible!”
+++++++++++++++

How ‘bout any vote for the *first* one as qualification for being voted out?

“so....why doesn’t the government borrow $300,000,000,000,000 and send everyone checks for $1 million?”
+++++++++++++

But, but, but - you’re thinking logically again. Stop that. </sarc>

The only way these folks listen is by bugging them day and night and bombarding em with phone calls, letters, emails and wires and getting all your friends and family members to do the same. Tsunami is exactly right!

“or anything else that isn’t specifically contained within the bounds of Federal responsibility as is stated in the Constitution.”
++++++++++++

Good point. We need to carry copies of the Constitution with us and go to these reps meeting and demand they explain to us how the bills are authorized there. They won’t be able to do it...let’s ‘overwhelm the liberal mindset’...speaking of overwhelming...we need to keep fighting this war...

And when they say “Let em eat cake” that will be the signal for another revolution and maybe we could even import the guillotine from France to lop off a few political heads to make the point clear.

“Whenever a big government program fails, the answer is always, “we didn’t fund it enough.”
++++++++++++

For these idiots, more money is the answer to everything. How stupid can you be - do these people go home and hand out $100 bills to their kids (maybe) - or spend time with them? I know we’re talking about the economy - but they have a deep seated problem that leads them to think that Government = Goodness...how in the heck can they defend that position? We should be sniping them all day and all night long...

What in hell is she doing in Singapore? The so-called Government is in Washington. Did she get on the wrong subway or miss an AMTRAK connection??? More riding around on the taxpayers money.

Since the Dems took the Congress over, travel is up something like 50%. These marxists don’t mess around - they DO exactly what we fear they’ll do.

They are fried! The only way out of this mess successfully is to:

a) Get the lines of credit open for businesses to expand and hire.

b) Cut personal income taxes.

c) Cut corporate taxes.

They can do none of those because those are Conservative ideals. By December Obama’s approval should be in the mid to low 40s... if that.

Stimulus I was meant to be spent in 2010 winning the mid-term elections. Stimulus II will be designed to be spent in 2012 winning the next major election

Well one flaw in this thinking is the stimulus has to work or its an albatross and Aurthur Laffer said it won't. The UR may stabilize but so what, are the Dems gonna run on that a 9+ UR. Good luck with that, sounds Hooverish to me!
