Israel today is independent completely independent with blue and white energy, said Tshuva, chief executive office of Delek Energy.

The same time the US does not need to make money off of war.

On a related note, T. Boone Pickens said on Glenn Beck that we have over 2,000 TRILLION cubic yards of natural gas available in the United States, and IIRC we have enough coal for about 500 years at current consumption rates, not to mention oil sands, nuclear, etc.

Foreign aid makes up 5% of Israel’s budget, a pathetic amount. Israel should reject American foreign aid, so Washington can’t hold anything over Israel’s head.

We should triple the amount of military aid we give them. The only staunchly pro US ally in the area and some ignorant idiots want to diss them. How short sited.

Natural gas wont solve the gasoline problem without expensive conversions.
It would help heating costs in some homes and businesses.

Estimated natural gas reserves rose to 2,074 trillion cubic feet in 2008, from 1,532 trillion cubic feet in 2006, when the last report was issued. This includes the proven reserves compiled by the Energy Department of 237 trillion cubic feet, as well as the sum of the nation's probable, possible and speculative reserves.

Haifa is the ancestral homeland of the Balestinian Beoble. All the natural gas there was flatulated by our ancestors. Unless you give it all to us, there will never be piece.

I prefer we help them out because they are taking on the Jihadists. 2-4 billion in military aid they get is money well spent

“Tell me when they start paying for their own military.”
1. The “aid” totals $2.5 billion. The USA gives much more aid to Israel’s enemies, such as Egypt.
2. The “aid” to Israel comes in the form of subsidies paid to US Defense contracts that assist in quantity sales of weapons, making the per-unit cost for the USA military much less. Incorporating the savings, the total cost to USA taxpayers is about $1.25 billion, which again, stays in the USA.
3. Israel sports a military that is almost as large (larger, if you count the reserves, which are active) as the USA presense in the area. It’s a cheap investment -— far cheaper than 10 or so carrier fleets it would take to replace the Israeli military presences.
4. We’d be happy to do without. Lockheed and other USA contractros are the one who chiefly desires the “aid.”

Joel Rosenberg predicted this in his book “Epicenter”. I have no doubt that they will find oil as well.
