Dakota Dino Reveals Skin Cells (first they find dino blood &vessels, now they find dino skin cells!)

July 1, 2009 — “Absolutely amazing” and “absolutely gobsmacking” are exclamations made by scientists analyzing the fossilized skin of a hadrosaur known as Dakota. The researchers found cell structures and organic matter in the skin and layers that resemble the skin of birds and crocodiles.

The specimen was uncovered in 1999 on a North Dakota ranch and is still being analyzed. Photos on the BBC News show clear scales and cross sections of microscopic tendon structures. The article said, “Tests have shown that the fossil still holds cell-like structures,” adding, “although the proteins that made up the hadrosaur’s skin had degraded, the amino acid building blocks that once made up the proteins were still present.”

How could soft tissue structures and details survive intact for 66 million years?...

For an “editor” (LOL!) your reading comprehension skills sure are lacking.

Water is not a low-oxygen environment.

Water itself may not be, but during a cataclysmic flood, it can create that type of environment. To wit, 1500 Guatemalans were buried in a mudslide caused by a few days of torrential rains. So I guess we both could be correct (landslide caused by lots of water).

The point is this: it is all conjecture and either conclusion is an act of faith because we weren't there to witness the event.

"But no legitimate scientific evidence?"

You have no idea what scientific evidence is, do you!

Stop wasting my time with your childish 'gotcha' posts.

Where in the Bible do the authors speak of dinosaurs dying out 6,000 years ago?

It doesn't. But this discovery still requires a scientific explanation.

You know the answer, 66 million years is total BS that's how, off by about 66 million years give or take 10,000 years

You clearly don’t have any idea what truthfulness and honesty are, do you. Quit being sleazy with the lack of facts, be a little honest, and you may have a chance of being taken seriously.

Quit wasting my time with statements and outright lies you’ll never be able to back up. “Go to some thread from a few Thursdays ago” is hardly posting factual detail, that’s dishonest, lazy, sleazy chicanery.

That is riotously humorous coming from the poster of a sleaze campaign. Back up your statements, or be shown to be a liar.

"And the T-Rex “soft tissue” doesn’t count, as all of the organic content there was replaced with minerals."

That is a flat out lie that has been completely refuted here. The pickling of the samples produced unfossilized true soft tissue.

You are here only to deflect factual and honest presentations. - You are completely dishonest and disingenuous in all your posts. I have no intention in engaging your foolishness and falsehoods; please stop posting to me. You are not a legitimate part of this discussion.

On an internet chat board? Unlikely.

The pickling of the samples produced unfossilized true soft tissue.

No, it didn't. Go back and read what's been happening with the supposed "soft tissue" in the interim. No real soft tissue was ever found in the sample.

“Marco Polo wrote of the “dragons” he encountered, as did Alexander. Are you going to write them off?”

My cousin says he played racquetball with Elvis and Michael Jackson yesterday. Are you going to write him off?

LMAO, no, once again, you lie. I am TRYING to get you to post factual and honest presentations yet you refuse to make any, only spurious, unsubstantiated drivel.

I have taken no position, so your comment about posting falsehoods is clearly more sleazy chicanery.

Just post your "evidence" and then we can have a discussion, until you do so, it's you who is "here only to deflect factual and honest presentations. - You are completely dishonest and disingenuous in all your posts." and are not a legitimate part of this discussion because you refuse to back up your spurious assertions with anything resembling fact.

Do you believe in flying saucers? (i.e. extra-terrestrials)?

I think it's almost certain that we're not the only life in the universe. But I don't think there's any real evidence that aliens have ever visited our planet.

Further, if these creatures did indeed evolve, and are presumably farther along the evolutionary ladder, would they not be able to travel extra-solar system?

There really is no such thing as "further along on the evolutionary ladder." But, all of our current science suggests that there is no way to travel faster than light. So, even a highly-advanced alien species could not undertake interstellar travel very easily. Furthermore, the idea that aliens have visited us assumes they have the same motivations we do (travel, exploratatiom, trade etc.) Aliens may exist, but have zero interest in us.

All we can do is draw conclusions based on the available evidence. And the fact is, there is no available evidence of a global flood.

Hey noobie, go back and read the threads here. your position is the same as a number of lunaticks here that try the same tricks as you do, and has been completely demolished here.

You keep making claims, but provide no evidence.

And calling someone a “noobie” is the last resort of an internet poster who knows he’s lost.

For an editor, maybe you should borrow my tagline.

Got your "evidence" posted yet? Oh yeah, it must not exist.
