Reports Palin Advised Staff/Supporters She Is Permanently Out Of Politics ARE NOT true!
Friends and Fiends in DC | MB26

Posted on 07/03/2009 3:21:45 PM PDT by MindBender26

Just spoke with people VERY well connected with Palin's DC operation.

Reports that she has announced to staff that she is permanently out of politics are NOT true.

Three caviats:

1: She may have told Alaska staff that she is out of politics forever. 2: She may have told Alaska staff that she is out of ALASKA politics forever. 3: Word may have not filtered down to DC yet.

That said, senior DC people very close to her think she is very far from out of politics.

Barack Mussolini.... just what sort of mindset is this weirdo in when he assumes that pose, I wonder?

“I am King of The WORLD !!!!!!!!!! ))))))))))))”

Something like that, I imagine.

People need to get a clue. Body language has meaning.

Send it this way, because I believe it. Regardless of reports of what she may or may not have said to her staff, resigning mid-term with little warning and no real explanation is not the act of someone anticipating a political future.

Zero is the second coming of Carter. In that sense, Sarah would be the second coming of Reagan. This is the only thing that’s happened in the last eight months that has given me any hope that the republic is not lost.

Creep factor times eleven in that picture.

I’m becoming convinced that the reason Obama can’t produce a bc is because he’s not a man - he’s a thing.

He was manufactured. Serial number: 666.

So if she had become VP that would not have been a good reason to leave her first term as Governor?

Very, very good point.

So, Sarah delayed her move to the forefront of national politics by seven months. Looks like she's actually getting back on the track she chose, to me.

Somehow it seems out of character for her to resign before her term is up

I agree. It doesn't seem like something she'd do. Quitting in midstream is not the Sarah way. She could have served out her term and still had plenty of time to run for 2012. Maybe she will run for senate in 2010 instead. I think that would be great. That would explain the early exit from the governor's office as well. In the senate, she could shore up her foreign policy credentials and put the bad karma from the McCain handlers behind her. It would make her a much better VP candidate and/or get her ready for a future presidential run too. I hope the whole Palin family gets some peace from this decision and emerges stronger in the future.

I bet she is going to Exxon and work on that trans Canada pipeline. Exxon would love to back her for next president.

WTH are you talking about? Of course, if you become VP you resign as Governor. I said whatever her reasons are NOW (note: she's not VP), resigning halfway through your term like this doesn't make much sense if you want to run for President in 3 years.

” In which case this decision was a very poor one. If she’s getting out all together, and I wouldn’t blame her if she did, then this is understandable. If this is some strategy to build a base and reemerge onto the national scene then she’s lost enormous credibility to my mind. Nobody likes a quitter, and nobody likes a schemer. She made a commitment to the people of Alaska; it’s one thing to retire, it’s another to dump your current obligations for ambition. “

Like he said .

The more that I see the chattering political classes in a tizzy about all of this...the more I think that it was a brilliant move on Sarah’s part.

Here’s why:

By the time that Obama and the democrats(in charge since 2006) have destroyed this country(which should be sometime this year)..the real people in America are not going to want anyone as their president that has ever been in ANY political office..especially of the Washington DC kind or Chicago kind!!

She will be able to have some real distance from the political whores on both sides of the aisle by the time 2012 rolls around. She is not a governor, not a senator or rep that plays politics!! She is not taking lavish vacations on the public dime..she is not signing bills that no-one can or will read...she is not saying one thing and doing another like every corrupt politician in our country has been doing with abandon and greed. She is not padding her wallet with taxpayer money...she is not paying off political cronies and the pole dancing media!

Go Sarah Go!!

She is going to destroy the way Washington has been doing biz for years...they are all afraid.

Be afraid you cowards...BE VERY AFRAID!!

msnbc had on a radio host from Alaska saying there are rumours up there of a criminal probe. May be lies, maybe not. This was rather strange today though....
