The more that I see the chattering political classes in a tizzy about all of this...the more I think that it was a brilliant move on Sarah’s part.

Here’s why:

By the time that Obama and the democrats(in charge since 2006) have destroyed this country(which should be sometime this year)..the real people in America are not going to want anyone as their president that has ever been in ANY political office..especially of the Washington DC kind or Chicago kind!!

She will be able to have some real distance from the political whores on both sides of the aisle by the time 2012 rolls around. She is not a governor, not a senator or rep that plays politics!! She is not taking lavish vacations on the public dime..she is not signing bills that no-one can or will read...she is not saying one thing and doing another like every corrupt politician in our country has been doing with abandon and greed. She is not padding her wallet with taxpayer money...she is not paying off political cronies and the pole dancing media!

Go Sarah Go!!

She is going to destroy the way Washington has been doing biz for years...they are all afraid.

Be afraid you cowards...BE VERY AFRAID!!

That makes sense to me. They should be very afraid and it looks like they are!

I agree with your analysis. Also noticed how many on here are so quick to agree on what Andrea Mitchell had to say without reading Sarah’s comments. Very telling.

I agree totally. As I said she is first going to fight to get "conservative" congressional candidates elected in 2010, build her base and friendships, and show she has the power of "skirt tails". THEN she will openly run.

But what is important about your post is the fact that many people like myself want to change the sleazy ways of DC that mostly the Dems and many of the Pubbies seem comfortable with. We live in the internet age so these BS trips reps from both parties take need to be limited to official business and none of this six days of pleasure, one of "work".

Bills need to published for a minimum of a week before voted on. The argument that would delay the process is pure BS. The only delay would be the seven days after the first bill required to be posted. Lobbyists, etc. I could go on but I'm sure you get the picture.

I agree wholeheartedly! Anyone who listened to her speech (given from the heart without notes or a teleprompter) knows exactly why she is doing this. She is putting her state and her country before what would appear to be the best thing for her own political ambitions. I think she realizes that she is Ronald Reagan's natural heir - with his charisma, core Conservative beliefs and values, and sense of who she is. It will take someone like her to have a chance to beat Obama in 2012. The opinions that some have of her are based on how the media has portrayed her in the past few months. When people have the opportunity to hear her speak when she is not being “handled”, they will see what a star she is!
