Pawlenty?
No.
If this is the best of what’s left, then thanks but no thanks.

Notice the passive tone of Pawlenty. This is the same-old “we need to get along” crapola that has caused the Republicans to lose two consecutive elections. Also I don’t understand why Pawlenty is even commenting on this, giving the media talking points. I don’t consider Pawlenty a RINO, but he’s very bland and uninspiring.

We don’t need you to ‘rebuild’ our party Mr. Pawlenty. We need you to get out of the way if you are not conservative.
This is sickening. He needs to shut his piehole. Just because two republicans have screwed up, doesn’t mean our whole party’s ‘brand’ is hurt. What a mealy mouth opportunist.
Pawlenty just went down about 50 points in my favorable rating and I didn’t like him to begin with...lol.

If Pawlenty is the best we have to “rebuild the GOP” we are doomed.

Kinda makes you wonder who’s next. I learned many years ago to never ever fall in love with a politician because he/she will inevitably break your heart. Be it the local elected dog catcher or POTUS, I look at them no differently than I do my next door neighbor. They’re just another citizen.

If tim is the future, (YAWN), the GOP is going to have big problems. Someone needs to step up to the plate and lead, and quickly. Palin could do it, but she needs to stay out of the tabloids for a while and come back in about 6 months after zero press.

The careerists who puff up and announce they're large and in charge are the ones who scare me. I want someone who really doesn't want the job and needs to be drafted into it. A 'Joe The Plumber' type. No policy wonk. No party hack from the inner workings of the Political Machine. Just someone who knows things are out of control, and has a natural instinct for righting the ship.

That’s nice. But the GOP has enough Liberals looking to lead. We don’t need another.

Spitzer, Dashle, Conyers, AG Morrison in KS, good Heavens, with all of the Democrats in trouble or who have screwed up lately -— why is anyone apologizing for the few on our side who screwed up?

Discussion of “brand” belongs in the strategic marketing office, NOT in media interviews.
Truism: the minute a political party starts talking publicly about its “brand” instead of its principles, that’s a party in trouble.
Not that we didn’t already know that about the GOP.

Liked his recent stand on budget cuts, but signing law for LEOs to pull you over for not having a seatbelt on is a bunch of revenue generating, freedom interfering garbage.

Th GOP is finished, and good riddance. Instead of wasting energy trying to resuscitate it, build a real conservative party.
