Passes 219-212, 8 Repuiblicans for it could have killed it. 3 not voting.
The specials on C-Span are truly amazing—truth about the bill is coming out—too bad Fox is not covering it—Gohmert is saying that jobs will go to China, Brazil, India & they wil put out more pollution for the jobs—so we may actually create more pollution from this bill. He also said that tho this bill will be an inconvenience to the wealthy, it will be devastating to poor, but then after reading Levin’s book,I am beginning to think that is the point==Throw our economy back to the stone age where we are totally dependent on govt.
Unfortuneatly, from what I have heard, the worst parts of this bill won’t kick in until 2013, after the Rats figure Obama is re-elected and untouchable.
we need to take to the streets like the iranians..
God damn them all.
No. The Iranians get shot...
I have to agree with you that the GOP suckered me with McCain, but from now on I will send money to specific candidates, no more GOP National.
Pester your senator DAILY. Call every day and let them know that this crap and tax bill MUST DIE in the Senate.
Worse, the Itinerant Kenyan has and is becoming our own version of Robert Mugabe.
They will and must be ousted!!!
If Obama can say he created or SAVED jobs then the Republicans can say with surety that this bill will destroy jobs and bankrupt the middle class.
I barely recognize my country anymore. Chipping away our freedom bit by bit.
That was always our only chance. I am surprised it was this close in the house.
Someone on another thread said that Santorum told Cavuto that it wouldn't pass. I assume it was on TV. But, I don't watch any TV, so I have no idea which show it was.
With the heavy NJ support, I’m guessing Algore and Tony Soprano have teamed up for the coming Cap and Trade scam.
I disagree. I think this attitude is one that has led us down this road. There was a reason Patton was fond of saying he disliked retreating because he didn’t want to pay for the same ground twice.
I trusted that Campaign Finance Reform would never be passed, it did.
I trusted that our country would never elect a marxist, socialist, racist thug like Obama. Ever. It did.
I never thought I would see our representatives...OURS...take a piece of stealth legislation like this, something that will DESTROY OUR ECONOMY AND OUR COUNTRY, and FLY IT UNDER OUR NOSES NEARLY IN THE DARK OF NIGHT AND PASS IT EVEN THOUGH WE ARE AGAINST IT. They did.
And you know what? They are going to nationalize health care too, against our will.
We cannot take false hope that the Senate is rational. It isn’t.
“”FWIW, I sent a FAX to each and every RINO who voted for HR 2454 informing them that they are Republican TRAITORS.””
Good for you! Excellent. If I had a fax machine, I’d be doing the same thing. I have time to write letters while they are on their HOLIDAY.
I just wonder what in the devil they think global warming is going to do to a country (forget the planet) that they are managing to destroy anyway! I can see us all living in the woods huddled around bonfires in the near future with what we have going on in DC.
Did you notice how some of the dems forgot to call it “climate change” when they were talking today? Guess they didn’t get the memo.
Waxman must have been hot under the collar when the presiding officer of the House let Boehner continue to read and voice his objections to contents in the 300 page addendum. A rare sight to behold! I think Boehner did good - but I see others don’t agree.
It was particularly interesting to watch the faces of those sitting behind Boehner while he was reading. Michelle Bachmann opened her mouth in total surprise at some of the add ons. How many others didn’t have a clue what was there? Obviously the majority!
“”Is everyone aware that one of the provisions of the 300 page 3:00 am amendment was that California building codes will be now be imposed upon all states?””
I heard Boehner say that but I didn’t hear him read anything like that in the add ons. Don’t know where he got it from. What I thought was striking was the appraisal that sellers of property would need to get to prove their home is energy efficient (windows, appliances etc.,) before selling - if not, it has to be brought up to their requirements. Idiotic! Guess everything that Boehner read will make a job available in a new federal agency. Ain’t that peachy?
