Supposedly the first vote was a ‘test vote’ which the dems won.
Later today comes the real vote.
CALL CALL CALL CALL and if the lines are busy in DC get the local office phone numbers. It’s on the websites of the individual congresscreatures.
DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN BEDEMIR: And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped.
KING OBAMA: This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedemir. Explain again how sheeps' bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.
DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN BEDEMIR: Oh, certainly, sir....all we have to do is shove it through Duchess Pelosi's House of Congress and add it to an amendment in a 1000+ page bill.
KING OBAMA: The bloody peasants won't have a clue if we can add this amendment at 3AM....and the useful idiots will pass it without looking at it!
DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN BEDEMIR: Exactly my liege!
Is that even allowable by house rules or even more basically constitutionally? sheesh why even have a vote or right the law at all?
They put in a placeholder? In other words, nobody knows what they’re voting for? This is awful. Who wants this bill, and what are the Democrats doing in trying to ram it through? I mean, what are they really doing, not what the title of the bill says.
Read that whole article. It’s great. The Democrats in Raleigh, led by Mayor Meeker, have been trying to ram light rail down the throats of Wake and Durham Counties’ taxpayers for years now (no pun intended). As a corollary to that, they’ve been engineering the city to make it less friendly to cars. He even tried to kill the desperately needed I-510 loop because it would “take too long”, as though we’d need it less in 10 years or as if light rail would come on-line any faster.
It’s especially funny, considering most of the planned I-510 is outside Raleigh city limits. As it is, most of it is done, but they’re holding back on the southern part, when southern Wake has already paid for plenty and probably needed it more than anyone.
Is it any wonder I’m in Houston right now looking for a job?
“Didn’t Thomas Friedman win a Nobel prize? Didn’t Al Gore win one? How many have you won?”
No one but a dedicated communist ever won a Nobel!
LOL! Keep it up, we need the laugh today!
“preparing drivers to accept the coming bicycle age”
Due to throwing my back out yesterday, a couple of Vicodin are the only thing keeping my blood pressure from going through the roof.
I’ll gladly invite Waxman and his Marxist buddies to ride their bikes to work in Houston during the summer with triple digit temps and 100+ % humidity. As everyone has said, this is just uneffingbelievable.

Hit up the wavering GOPers first, and then concentrate on the fence sitting Dems!
The whole damn bill is a joke....its all surreal, esp. when Monty Python and the Holy Grail makes more sense than the Cap and tax bill!
Oh, I should point out that the Wake County Taxpayers’ Association, who hosts that article, opposes both light rail and traffic calming.
Seriously. I’m visiting Houston right now, and walking one block to get a coffee 30 minutes ago was bad enough.

Carbon credits for purchase and credit default swap trading like sub-prime mortgages.
Ever-increasing US dollars for the UN corruption (carbon for food)
Oh, and China and India dont have to play, either.
Now they’re just voting on a blank page for 0bama to write in whatever the demons behind him put on paper? Hey, Soros, how ya’ doing today?
Oh, and did you notice that Gene Green (D-Houston) is supporting this bill even though he knows it will damage jobs in his district in the Port of Houston? Rather than oppose the bill, he just wants to add protectionist language that will start a trade war and destroy even more jobs.
IDIOT! If we were dying for oil, I would be paying $0.24 a gallon right now!
Didnt Thomas Friedman win a Nobel prize? Didnt Al Gore win one? How many have you won?
Jew killing terrorist Arafat won a Nobel Prize.
Jimmy “Khomeni is a holy man that will be good for Iran” Carter won a Nobel Prize.
So true. These people have no clue.
“Overall, Waxman-Markey reduces gross domestic product by an average of $393 billion annually between 2012 and 2035, and cumulatively by $9.4 trillion. In other words, the nation will be $9.4 trillion poorer with Waxman-Markey than without it.”

Is he from Tom Delay district??
I called Al Green’s (D) office this morning, not that it will do any good. They said they were tallying up the calls and he’d vote according to his constituents. Yeah right! He’ll vote the way the Messiah wants him to vote.
Welcome to Houston by the way.
