Mario Diaz Balart, Fl, voting NO
That won't be possible if this thing passes costing everyone thousands of dollars in spending every year. But we'll see how stupid they really are.
So you are that other conservative in District 5?
Howdy!
Just curious if by CLNE you’re referring to the ticker symbol for Clean Energy Fuels. I’ve always been leery of that company, since it hasn’t posted a profit in 3 years and seems to be purely based on speculation on government action.
GE is also an interesting case. Their CEO is already cozy with the Obama Administration and the company has been bailed out already. I see more bailout money heading their way in the future, because of GE Capital’s serious problems with real estate and loan market exposure. This will probably lead to a Japanese-style collusion whereby the government leverages GE into investing more in “green” technologies which the government will, in turn, subsidize and use its regulatory power to create demand for that technology.
For all the left’s railing about “corporatism”, I can’t remember seeing an administration that fits that description more than this one. We’re well on the road to a toxic mix of socialism and crony capitalism in this country.
Fixed it for you.
If only the oceans would rise up and swallon CA and the east coast.
“I hate Weiner (D-NY)...speaking now.I hate Weiner (D-NY)...speaking now.”
Well, from what he said his name is certainly fitting!
It boggles my mind that he can bash oil consumption as helping foreign terrorists, when his party has blocked domestic oil and gas drilling across the board!
Unbelievable!
Drill, baby, drill!!!
I can’t watch this any longer. Every minute i spend listening to pig nose and his minions makes me feel DUMBER. And it is like watching the Jonestown mass suicide in slow motion, except we are killing our own jobs and economy, all for a scientific delusion which is so easily refuted! ARGGGHHHH!!!
Right now, I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the current prospects for our country....its like watching a SAT morning cartoon after a long night of drinking and smoking pot.
Maybe she is planning on starting a new business.
Mud Hut Decorating.
I was for three years! I moved back to SC. I was the organizer of the Lynchburg, VA tea party.
Exactly.
While I actually like nanosolar & windmills, I think we should have it all. We have coal for everybody, natural gas up the waaah, and enough oil in and around our coasts to last us for decades. Add in some efficiecies, nuclear, fuel cells, electric cars as runabouts, and there IS no problem. In fact, there never really was.
The wealthy are the dem-fascists now. The inventors and tinkerers are the skin flint republicans. The businessmen just try to navigate the two and bet on the winner. We knew that though.
Is there a list of votes taken already? I might make a followup call if he has not already voted.
“I was the organizer of the Lynchburg, VA tea party.”
Attaboy
Nick Rahall voted NO!
He is a Dem from WV.
Okay, now I’m REALLY sick listening to Charlie Rangel. You are right, Charlie, we WILL remember what is done here today.
Cap and trade liveblog, Pt II: Pay attention to House floor games
By Michelle Malkin June 26, 2009 02:42 PM (Continuing from morning liveblogging
)
At approx. 2:35pm Eastern, GOP Rep. Joe Barton announced that there is now a placeholder in the bill to be determined later.
Barton notes that this is unprecedented. He cant recall any final passage of a bill that has a placeholder in it.
What the hell is going on?
This is deliberation?
Barton continues: If you havent made your deal yet, come on down to the floor. Waxman is making deals to pass the cap and trade bill right on the House floor.
Barton: This is unprecedented At least hes doing it out in the open now.
It sounds like Waxman is trying to buy his way to victory right on the floor of the House.
No votes yet, just intentions.....actual vote around 5-6PM EST.
“The democrats who vote against this bill will pay. Pelosi and Obama will see to it”
All who vote for this bill need to be more afraid of WE THE PEOPLE instead of Pig Pelosi.
