First Ladies of fashion, Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, united in stylish white this weekend, as they came together for the D-Day landing memorial ceremony in France.
Perhaps in a move to dispel the fashion scrutiny that both women face whenever within standing distance of the other, they were almost identical in white dresses, both belted at the waist and teamed with bare legs and kitten heels

As for her hubby, it was just another stupid function to attend.
He snubs the Sarkozys because he is too busy, comes back here, gets off the plane, and plays 18 holes. Go figure.

Loks to me that it is a knitted "long sweater" cover that hides her shape from behind. That said, it won't hide anything with the seat belt over it.
And, the belt is high on her "waist" because it is just above her "back-booty" behind.
