I have the same thoughts. I’m no Clinton fan, but geez, this guy has no heart. The whole little story thing, what was that about? Pres Bush cried at almost every speech when it concerned any Veteran. This guy stumbles over his words and makes it obvious he’d rather be anywhere but there.
He’s bored. Wants to get on to Paris and continue his vacation.

Payne: He couldn’t have gotten it from me since we had never talked about this particular episode in the war. My sister and her husband were both great storytellers and sometimes made up the details to go along with it. They told him about my deployment with the 89th Infantry Division and apparently they mixed up a few details. Of course it came out immediately that he was wrong since there are enough people in America who know that Auschwitz is in the East and that the camp was liberated by the Red Army.
SPIEGEL: Afterwards, Obama called you. What did he want to know?
Payne: He wanted to know where this camp was that I had helped liberate. I told him that it was Ohrdruf and that it was a sub-camp of the Buchenwald concentration camp. I described a little bit of what I had seen.

He has no frame of reference of American History except from the left. The suburbs “bore” him. He knows nothing about the men and women who are the heart and soul of this country.
Has he ever been to St John's Church? Monticello? Mount Vernon? Montpelier? Has he ever walked the grounds of Cold Harbor? He knows (and cares) nothing about our Founding Fathers and the blood that was shed in the name of Freedom.
His speech sucked.

But then, none of Obozo’s generation gets this. They do not know history.Thanks to the left and the bastardization of our education system.
Maybe I missed something but all 0bama talked about was some truly brave souls - separate individuals - who had to face gunfire and death. He completely ignored the motivation for the entire campaign that made the war worth the sacrifice.
Did zer0 refer at *all* to the larger reason we fought that war and risked and lost so many lives in the first place - the defense of Democracy?
Ohhhh, flyover. Was Air Force One included for a campain photo op?
I’ll give Gordon Brown points. He watched the missing man formation. Obama was glad handing.
He began with the usual campaign speech. Thanking this that and the other dignitary honoring him with their presence.

I’m of his generation and many of us get it. We are just regular folks, not in the spotlight.
