Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today in response to a message today to CIA Employees from Director Leon Panetta:
“We all share great respect for the dedicated men and women of the intelligence community who are deeply committed to the safety and security of the American people. My criticism of the manner in which the Bush Administration did not appropriately inform Congress is separate from my respect for those in the intelligence community who work to keep our country safe. What is important now is to be united in our commitment to ensuring the security of our country; that, and how Congress exercises its oversight responsibilities, will continue to be my focus as we move forward.”

Nancy is trying to recover by bitterly clinging to the last ounce of Bush hatred among democrats and the media. Her attack was directed squarely at the CIA. This won't work. She should resign.

Pelosi is seriously dismissive in her statement ... as if she hasn't told several whoppers this week in an attempt to weasel out of her predicament.
Time for her to resign or be dismissed as the House Speaker.

GW didn’t appoint George Tenent the Director of the CIA during the time Pelosi had a mental blackout.
On Sept. 4, 2002, less than a year after 9/11, the CIA briefed Rep. Porter Goss, then House Intelligence Committee chairman, and Mrs. Pelosi, then the committee’s ranking Democrat, on EITs including water boarding. They were the first members of Congress to be informed.
So, who was the director of the CIA, from 9/11 to 2004?
George J. Tenet was the Director of CIA, from 1997–2004 .
Tenet was appointed by President Clinton and approved by Congress. Tenet then became the CIA director in August of 1997.
So, Pelosi is now saying that George Tenet lied to her or ordered his congressional briefers to lie to Nancy.
A good point. I would argue that the libtard control of all three branches of government places the nation's interest paramount. Steny Hoyer would be far more rational and less damaging to the Republic than Princess Nancy. At this time the Republic is virtually defenseless against the dim rabble that would destroy her. Anything that cuts back the super lunatics must be pursued. IMHO

Its a shame that here we have an agency that the president is in charge of, being derided by the speaker, and the president doesn’t say anything.
Now..she says the CIA staff is wonderful, the same staff that pretty much existed before, when they supposedly lied to her.
