Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.
Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).
But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!
G.O.P., R.I.P!
No... I've misplaced my magic rock and my cheap hat has shrunk from the rain storm.
I see you called over a member of your gang over to dump on me!
1... hard to say, nearly 4 years out... Depends on what's happened at that time... If it was someone else that doesn't have the "baggage" Palin has, and has a decent shot, absolutely no question, she'd get my vote... Depends on how things go from now until then
2. Depends on what you mean by support... My first choice in '08 was FDT... When he fell by the wayside, it was Mitt, Huck, or McCain... My choice was easy... I'm hoping that in '12 I'll have numerous better choices (Pence, Barbour, etc)... but if it comes down to Romney vs. H, there's no doubt in my mind... If you call that a Romney supporter, so be it...
I'm doing what I can to defeat H... Sitting at home whining about not having a more conservative candidate only helps the other side.
Now THAT’s much better!! ;^)
Even God weighed in on my reply; did you see what number I got? :o)

By baggage, I’m referring to Palin having to constantly defend her daughter’s pregnancy, her performances on Gibson and Couric, and her issues back in Alaska... cause, like it or not (we don’t), the media will pound on all of these issues... SNL/Tina Fey will mock her constantly, and in my view, it’s going to be next to impossible to turn many of the electorate’s view that she’s imminently not qualified to be President. Just my 2c.
That one now drinks a whole case of Sterno a day. I wouldn’t want to light a match standing near her, most of Utah would go up in a great big poof.
I must have missed that poll.
Or maybe I only saw the posts from virulent anti-Romney people who to this day can't recognize the damage they (not just FR) did by destroying the only candidate who stood a snowball's chance of winning in '08.
It just seemed like FR was filled with people who lived and breathed to destroy Mitt Romney.... and I still can't understand it.
Especially not when it was obvious that destroying Romney was in essence putting McCain as the GOP nominee.
Yes, I did, but I thought I didn’t need to point out the obvious. ;-D
The price of being a Conservative Republican is to be mocked by the effete Perez Hilton leftist media elites. If Jesus Himself were the nominee in 2012, the media would do to Him what they did to Palin in ‘08 and Dubya in ‘00 & ‘04 and Reagan and Goldwater and...
You mean there are CLOSET Mormons in these threads?
Oh so true!
We are persecuted UNJUSTLY!!!

Beati pauperes spiritu.
Translation: "Blessed are the poor in spirit" (Vulgate, Matthew 3:5).
Never said Romney was the perfect conservative, or the perfect Republican, or the perfect anything.
It's just that he was the strongest, most articulate, most able to speak the conservative message out of ALL the Republican candidates in '08.
If there was someone out there better, I'd have been there.
A reasoned conservative could see that McCain was feeble and boring and anti-everything (except proLife) that I believe in.
Fred didn't want it. Never did.
Rudy .... is a nice guy who is waaay to left on everything.
Hucklebee is a cool speaker but would have been eaten for lunch as a Baptist evangelical preacher .... which is fine with me but turns off too many in American politics.
Duncan Hunter .... strong as an ox... but doesn't have the personality to be a viable candidate.
I forget the others, but suffice it to say that Romney was the only one with a snowballs chance who could speak to both conservatives ... and the middle.... and women... and some youth.... which is exactly what it takes to win.
You ought to try being a non-MORMON!!!
I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the otherThis is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself lying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace, mother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother,
Shame on you. Shame on Romney.
Probe: Mitt missed chance to keep Tavares jailed - Could have nixed killers early exit
Friday, December 28, 2007 - Boston Herald
"Former Gov. Mitt Romneys administration failed to act on disciplinary recommendations
that would have kept ex-con killer Daniel Tavares locked up another year -
and behind bars at the time he was accused of killing a newlywed couple in Washington state."
"Despite Tavares long history of violence, the Romney-led Department of Correction
took no action on recommendations that he be stripped of good time because
of assaults on prison guards in 2003 and 2005, said sources familiar with a state probe into the case."
