BREAKING: White House Overrides FBI and DHS on Gitmo Release
Human Events ^

Moving quickly to release Chinese Uighur terrorists into the United States, Obama administration officials have -- for the second time -- overridden objections of federal agencies responsible for national security.
The first time -- as I reported on April 20 -- the White House overrode the inter-agency panel it created from all the national security agencies to review all the cases of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners. That panel found that the seventeen Uighurs -- members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement captured at an al-Queda training camp in Pakistan -- were too dangerous to release in the United States.

Just remember, when these people start killing Americans on American soil, zero OWNS the issue.
Good thing Zero isn't a real American, that suggests that he's probably immune to such violent acts.
Sure wouldn't want to see anything happen to him.

He (you) forgot to mention easy access to evil assault rifles in the message. This was not an oversight. As all Asault Weapons were banned on 1 May 2009. It is truely unfortunate that the Uighar 17 misused thier positions as armed Transportaion Security Agents aboard the flights they were assigned to protect.

I’m wondering if the CIA has a contingency plan.

This is criminal: the law is explicit-- NO ONE with associations with any terrorist group may be admitted legally into the US.
There are NO exceptions.
If they bring them here & release them, it is a crime.

Just like the WH overrode DHS and the FBI on the Statue of Liberty fly-by ... power really corrupts big-eared community organizer socialists.

I have a question. If the FBI or the CIA has credible evidence that the President of the US has committed treason, can they arrest him? He is protected? Is the Senate the only organization that can accuse the President of treason? Is there any way to detain a President, if there is credible evidence that he has done something wrong?

Can’t wait for the Obamamunists on this. How will they spin it? Even our “allies” don’t want anything to do with this.
Thought he had rebuilt our image and all.

Makes one wonder what is said about Obama in the closed conference rooms of the Pentagon and the FBI building. They have to know, that they have now an enemy in the White House.

NO ONE with associations with any terrorist group may be admitted legally into the US. In almost ALL such cases, the executive has the privilege of granting amnesty/asylum/etc....
So - I doubt there is any chance of gaining a "conviction" ....

Maybe they're not our enemies:
'We are here to help. Release them into our custody,' " said Nury Turkel, a Washington aviation lawyer and past president of the Uyghur American Association, a District-based human rights group that uses another spelling of the ethnic group's name. "We have people offering them places to stay, English training, employment. We don't want anyone to think they will be a burden on society. We've suffered just like the Tibetans, but nobody knows about us because we don't have a Dalai Lama. (from WaPo 10/17/08)

"Earlier reports suggested they could be released in Alexandria, Virginia or Washington, D.C."
Oh, if they get released in D.C. it will be okay. We all know that guns are severely restricted there and bomb making is completely illegal. They won't be able to conduct any terrorism.
To: kenavi
If they are not our enemies, then why the need to override the FBI and the CIA?

Yes, if the terrorists manage to strike before the next election, it will somehow be the fault of the Bush administration, of the Republican Party, or of right-wing talk radio.
He needs to clear up space at Gitmo so the Bush administration officials can be housed there.
To: Blue Turtle
At what point can we say without reservation that we are under attack by the POTUS?
Are we there yet?
Methinks so.

How is he going to blame Bush for everything when this country is being invaded from within? No problem. Have an emergency dinner with the MSM; pass out the talking points memo and the rest will take care of itself. Wuoo-lah! Obama is innocent and blameless once again.
