Tea Party Total Head Count Thread (Post Your Attendance Numbers Here)
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 | Kristinn

Posted on 04/15/2009 3:08:47 PM PDT by kristinn

I'm hoping to be able to ascertain an overall national figure of attendance at the tea parties today by asking Freepers to post their crowd estimates on this thread.

I'm also asking that the thread be kept to just the numbers, no photos, etc., but if you want to link back to photos in your crowd estimate that's fine.

Please give the location and number of participants.

I'll go first:

Melbourne, FL - 1000.

I’m also wondering how many “unadvertised” protests there were today... I had gone to the websites, and saw that there were protests in Green Bay, and Madison, but lo and behold my girls just walked in and said there’s one RIGHT NOW in Wausau — I had NO CLUE someone put something together HERE... How many other small towns that are NOT reflected on those internet maps, or didn’t get in touch with people to make theirs “official”. This is WAY bigger than even any estimates we’re going to get through the internet even... [And, that’s a GREAT THING!!! — HOORAY for all the great patriots standing up today! THANK YOU!!!!]

Hubby went to Virginia Beach Tea Party, he says 2000 were there. Our liberal rag says “hundreds”, cop told hubby personally “a couple thousand” was his estimate.

Good on Ya Las Vegas...I posted some photos at one of the other threads. The idiot Harry, (Pinkey) Reid was on a Reno talk radio program this afternoon and said he wasn’t concerned about the Tea Parties because his sources told him there were only about 250-people present. What a joke! Over 2,000 by several estimates.

Also, Dean Heller spoke to our crowd to huge cheers and lots of “Dump Reid” chants.

“Chicago, Land of Lincoln who freed the slaves and Land of Obama who enslaved the free:”

Great job!! Can I use that as a new tagline?

Morristown, NJ: I and another FReeper independently arrived at the same estimate -- 1,000 to 1,200 people, possibly as many as 1,500 to 2,000.

MSM estimate was 300, but two of my panorama composite photos argue otherwise:

Henchster, It is worth noting that an average of your numbers is 1724. Times the estimated 2000 events gives us an estimate of 3,448,275 people protesting today what Congress and Obama have done.

Amarillo, Texas

300 to 400 at the courthouse at noon.

There’s another going on now at the main post office. I haven’t heard a count on that one yet.
