That’s right.

This issue is bigger than Levi and Bristol.

This is a “fathers rights” issue.

He should have just as much custody and say in all matters involving his son.

Whether he’s a bum or a sad sack has nothing to do with it.
Neither does his mothers problems.

Ooh boy, waiting for the responses on this post of yours.

If you check my posts, you’ll see I’m not to be trusted around children because I took the father’s rights side of the issue.

Sorry. If he’s living with his convicted felon mother, then all bets are off. Supervised visited only.

I don’t know if I agree with “father’s rights” in a case where the men don’t marry the baby’s mother. It seems backwards and not right. I know that legally these deadbeat dads have “rights,” but somehow, I think it is wrong. It’s not right that we live in a world where people feel no shame about not doing the right thing, yet they are the first ones to show up in court when their rights have been denied. It’s backwards. I am sure that if Levi was determined to do the right thing he and Bristol would be married. Levi is the result of bad parenting, that’s why he is acting like a bum.

Levi does have rights, and he said he can see his baby every day if he wants. He is belly-aching about not being able to take the child over to his house. Well, DUH! He lives with his drugged-out Mom who is facing trial for 6 felony offenses. Good luck with that in Court, Levi. Come back after Mommy gets acquitted and we’ll talk.

OH....and he is SO very concerned about seeing his son, yet says he’s open to acting/modeling jobs. Last time I checked, there were no acting/modeling jobs in Alaska. He’d have to move to NY or LA for that. How much will he see his son then?

Please...he does get to see his phone and admits he talks everyday with the child’s mother. What he’s done regarding spilling about their private lives inexcusable.

Whether he is a bum or not impacts on the issue. If he is a bum he is not paying Child support.

As for his mother she is a drug dealer, do you think she should be granted access to the child? Most courts would not give her visiting rights let alone let her be alone with the baby. However, his mother's situation shouldn't interfere with Levi's custody claim.

Now, if Levi pays child support, fine, he should be given joint custody, because he is the father, I agree with that. However, lacking child support he should not be given custody.
