A Month in the Life of George W Bush (news and photos): April 2009
www.yahoo.com/news www.georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/ ^ | 1st April 2009 | Snugs

As we enter April 2009 we are being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama I thought it would be nice to look back at the first 100 days of George W Bush Presidency.

The White House Website for the Bush Administration had a photo essay for the first 100 days which I am sure will provoke fond memories.

At the weekend I will post photos covering the first 2 weeks of April 2001 which once again I am sure will make us all feel nostalgic for the President we supported, respected and trusted to keep us safe for the last 8 years. Later this month I will post photos from the second half of Aril 2001 plus a selection of other photos that I am sure will be breath of fresh air and produce fond memories.

First of all before the photos I will post the text of remarks that George W Bush made at a Congressional Luncheon marking the first 100 days of the Bush Adminstration - ah those were the days.

I will also post some photos I have found of the Bush family for March 2009 including some of the former First Lady.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

Very interesting blog under “The Rest of the Story”. I was very surprised that Obama received such a rousing welcome by the military. Asking “who voted for Obama”, then shuffling them to the front explains it. Also, giving the military cameras was a new idea to me. I guess his handlers had to counter his reception at Camp LeJeune.

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU TOO, DrDeb.

Only watched the first link... The video of our dear 43rd President reminded me just how proud I am to be a Citizen of the United States of America, too - what a great last statement of a speech....What a class act!

Today we attended the first of two Tea Parties in San Diego. I'm so proud of what our Country's Citizens are standing for...we all love this Country so, and don't want to see it destroyed.

W reminded me of the first GW in his humble transition out of office.

.....I miss him so....(big tear welling up in my eye)

Good grief! I had tears rolling down my face before the video of President Bush got started good. And, that is only a small sampling of wonderful scenes from his presidency!

So, glad I saw it.

Just before Easter 2009 President Obama goes to Turkey and tries to identify with that nation and crawl to them by inferring that the United States of America is a secular nation totally ignoring the fundementals of the founders beliefs structures that the country was established under.

This contrast dramatically with the Easter greetings that GWB gave the American people at Easter during his first year as President. I wonder what Obama greeting will be I somewhat doubt it will carry such a strong Christian greeting and meaning.
