As we enter April 2009 we are being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama I thought it would be nice to look back at the first 100 days of George W Bush Presidency.
The White House Website for the Bush Administration had a photo essay for the first 100 days which I am sure will provoke fond memories.
At the weekend I will post photos covering the first 2 weeks of April 2001 which once again I am sure will make us all feel nostalgic for the President we supported, respected and trusted to keep us safe for the last 8 years. Later this month I will post photos from the second half of Aril 2001 plus a selection of other photos that I am sure will be breath of fresh air and produce fond memories.
First of all before the photos I will post the text of remarks that George W Bush made at a Congressional Luncheon marking the first 100 days of the Bush Adminstration - ah those were the days.
I will also post some photos I have found of the Bush family for March 2009 including some of the former First Lady.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

And maybe some one can give thier opinion on what it could mean.
I was down south, I beleave it was in Tennessee and in a church, it wasn't a Catholic church.
I was at some sort of memorial service and they were singing this hymn that was really beautiful, I can't remember the words to it but it gave me a sense of well being.
Witch was broken when a woman in the congregation got up and started spouting off political diatribes and saying some thing folks shouldn't be saying in ANY church.
I tried to protest her actions as inappropriate for a church service but she only spoke louder.
The thing that really got me upset was that no-one would say anything to stop her and the preacher was silent as well.
I got up and stormed oput of the church saying this was no house of God that would allow such behavior.
now, was that a preminition of what is to come?

Well, maybe you had a sense of being alone. You are not. You are very much not alone.
She is also going to refer him to the Kent Association of the Blind who will advise us on what sort of reading lamp to purchase which will assist dad with reading. Apparently they advise on this sort of thing to all people with sight problems not just those who blind or partially sighted. Dad's problem is glaucoma and he has slight field of vision lose in one eye.
THE EYE TEST
Evil prospers when good men do nothing.
Good job!
Indeed

#BUSH WATCH: W. ENCOURAGES WOUNDED WARRIORS
By Greg Janda
. . . In an appearance he did not want to become public, President George W. Bush stopped in Cleburne, Texas on his way to his Crawford Ranch to give words of encouragement to members of the Wounded Warriors Road 2 Recovery bike ride going through Cleburne.
Mr. Bush did not want pre-publicity because he did not want his appearance to lead to a distraction from the importance of the Road to Recovery bike ride going through Texas this week. After brief remarks by Cleburne Mayor Ted Reynolds and Congressman Chet Edwards, D-Waco, Mr. Bush spoke to the bike riders, American Legion members and motorcycle escort riders for a few minutes.
This is an event put on by the Road 2 Recovery and American Legion Halls all along the route. Mr. Bush not only honored the wounded veterans and supporters taking part in the ride, he also thanked motorcycle riders who are escorting the bike ride and for their work in honoring soldiers who died fighting in Iraq and Afghanastan.
