President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”
His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.
“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—” How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point.
“Are you punch drunk?” Kroft says.
“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh.

I just went to read the comments from the story and they are great. Went on to the next page to read some more and Politico flashed a Site Maintenance banner on the screen. I guess Politico did not like the vain of the comments.

I absolutely agree!!! This is an INCREDIBLE question & statement from a member of the MSM to ask the sitting pres____ent of the U.S. I cannot recall any former president or even any politician of either stripe ever being asked such an incredulous question...."Are you punch drunk"?
And I am loving every minute of it. I think that the brain dead MSM may be starting to wake up and realize that their shilling & propoganda hype for Oboooombi in the 2008 election, is in fact turning out to be a nightmare that conservatives had warned about all along!!! Now it appears the MSM is starting to realize the horrendous nightmare & danger that Oboooombi poses to our nation. I only hope we throw his skinny marxist ass out long before either 2010 or 2012.

Of course they will. After all, what else do they have? They are completely invested in the D party. All Obama administration has to do is wave the flag or a photo of Bush in front of them, and the media will once again be reminded of their hatred for their own country.
Personally I would rather deal with Joe Biden than the danger that Obooombi poses to our country with his racist shtick & hope & change BS. I think that Joe Biden is dumber than dirt as well as totally incapable & incompetent, but at least he would simply be a placeholder until the next election. And the 95% blacks who voted for Oboooombi would be so PO'd at Biden & the demoRAT party that it would render them pretty much useless till the next election cycle.
I love the idea, but the ONLY way you’re going to remove Obama from office is with a Marion Barry-type sting.

National Republicans are acting like mice against the Messiah. They give Obama’s high approval ratings as an excuse to ac nice. Palin’s approval ratings in AK are sky high. Yet the AK Dems are not afraid to go after her. Everytime, Palin leaves AK to attend a conservative event, the AK liberals raise hell about Palin not doing her job. What is wrong with the RNC? Where’s Eric Cantor, Bohener, or Pence raising hell about the Messiah not doing his job when he appears on Leno?
