I think I can agree with that strategy.

"Read...my...lips...I will NEVER serve."

But the sign over the gate says that 'Work Makes you Free'. Now let the nice man with the whip tell you which line to get into.

Note even those of “African ancestry” don’t seem to be particularly thrilled.

(6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.

(7) The need for a public service academy, a 4-year institution that offers a federally funded undergraduate education with a focus on training future public sector leaders.

(8) The means to develop awareness of national service and volunteer opportunities at a young age by creating, expanding, and promoting service options for elementary and secondary school students, through service learning or other means, and by raising awareness of existing incentives.

(9) The effectiveness of establishing a training program on college campuses to recruit and educate college students for national service.

(10) The effect on United States diplomacy and foreign policy interests of expanding service opportunities abroad, such as the Peace Corps, and the degree of need and capacity abroad for an expansion.

(12) Whether current Federal volunteer programs are suited to address the special skills and needs of senior volunteers, and if not, how these programs can be improved such that the Federal Government can effectively promote service among the `baby boomer’ generation.” unquote

I posted the link to this bill in my blog and now, when I try to go there, there’s nothing.

Anyone have a workable link?

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

================================
Compare that to what Obama believes:

(post 373)

.......Obama "clearly agreed with me at the time that a shift in constitutional thinking from a rights-based discourse to one that centered [on] responsibility and duties ... would be a good thing,"West told Politico. "Partly because of those conversations, I don't find it surprising at all that Sen. Obama's speeches are often marked by calls to spark a sense of responsibility, rather than a sense of grievance......"

===============================
A shift in CONSTITUTIONAL THINKING FROM A RIGHTS BASED DSCOURSE

Each night we need to get on our knees and pray that Roberts, Scalia, Thomas (a great American, one of my heroes) and Alito stay in good health. Right now they are they are our only safety net.

...snip.."When have the Dems ever “reached out” to conservatives?"

This is precisely my point as well. Perfectly said. Democrats don't feel the need to move to the center at all. No way. Why should they because in their minds, they don't have to as long as Americans don't notice too much what they are really doing.

Who will hold them accountable when all entities that could are Liberal like:newspapers,television (except for FoxNews), radio (few exceptions like Rush,Levin,..), BHO and his team of misfits, and Congress with few exceptions
Even "Leaders" in the Republican Party never want to disagree. They have been sucker punched letting all the above entities use them and manipulate for their own gains.

Steele, Newt, McCain ..anyone else who will wrestle with the Media wants to be liked FIRST and then they search around and for their principles. Any "Republican" talking heads that agree to go on television to represent the Republican Party need to know they are being used.

They are being used as SCAPEGOATS and distractions to cover-up what the IDIOTS on the left are actually doing. The media depends on the "Republicans" to rollover and play nice and they do.

The Media successfully plays Republicans off each other for more distraction and for Rahm Emanuel's delight. I can just see him now with his pink tutu and slippers prancing down the halls of the WH bouncing into the oval office for a smoke with BHO all smiles. There are few exceptions to the rule with Republicans speaking on Radio Shows and TV..like Mike Pence but there are really few exceptions IMHO.

I am sure there are more in Congress who see BHO Obama for who he really is but they are keeping it to themselves and playing the political game.

All others are too interested in being "liked" than to stand up and really let Freedom Ring LOUDLY and tell the truth about it all, the ugly part of BHO's "Socialism-R-US" Sham Plan.

Have you tried the Link at the top of the Thread underneath the name of the thread in RED ink, The Library of Congress Thomas. It is on the left hand side where you click when you want to read the full article. I just checked it and it is working fine.

Great letter at 853. I don't think the “neighbors helping neighbors” aspect will surface until there have been a lot of flagrant mini-Wacos. Then I think it will become prevalent.

I agree. This is why the first several mini-Wacos are going to be rough on the recipients. Somebody has to be first.

Thank you. I have no excuse but the blondeness.

Does this thing really repeal “points of light”? What’s that about?

I tried to stay as objective and third party as possible. You know better than anybody how I really disdain writing stuff like that.

Great graphic! Can I use it?! :-)
