Obama Requires YOU to SERVE, H.R.1388, "The Give Act" to reform the National Service Laws

HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

Thumper1960 indicated there are at least 12 members of the Democratic Socialist Party(DSA) who are co-sponsoring the Bill.The post really peaked my curiosity.

Do you happen to know which of the 25 co-sponsors are members of the DSA? I searched but haven’t found anything yet.

I haven’t heard back from Thumper yet but I am dying to know who in Congress is a member of the DSA.

Yes Isreal has military conscription as it is a Jewish nation of about 5 million Jews surrounded by 300 million arabs that want to finish Hitlers handy work . But it is only military conscription for reasons of survival, not a draft for every social cause under the sun to be funded by tax money stolen from you at the point of a gun & manned by your kids & grandkids as draftees.

It sounds as though they plan to draft medical personnel into a public health corps. Public Health used be a voluntary service which would help forgive some medical school debt and was considered a draft deferment.

After Vietnam ended, the doctors refused to serve their commitment and there was no way to force them to do so.

My guess is that they intend to make the middle class retirees work for their social security benefits. If you don’t work, you don’t get your social security.
