It is an article of faith in the loopier precincts of the Internet, impervious to evidence to the contrary, that Barack Obama is ineligible to be president of the United States because he is not a "natural born citizen" as the Constitution requires.

All this would be quite harmless, like believing in the Illuminati or alien abduction, except that the extra-chromosome true believers have taken to filing suit in the federal courts basically seeking to overturn the election.

Nope, already been tried. I personally know two private citizens and a Private Detective who've had NO luck with that route. The Office of Vital Statistics has the file "flagged" because of its obvious interest.

Using internal policy (and perhaps consulting with BHO), they've identified who would meet their criteria for "common ancestry" and will release the COLB only to those on the list. That list of names is unknown to the public. However, I know of at least one attempt of offering a "gift" to a related family member who should qualify, who would later "share" the COLB with "others" -- that offer had been turned down in December...

Good in theory, but the Hawaii AG has had a lot of inquiries come their way. He doesn't have access because of the way the law is written. This affects the AG with OTHER cases, but I'm sure they will be "tagged" by another state AG to service a request for BHO's records via a criminal investigation soon after the addition to HSR 338-18 is passed by the Hawaii Legislature. Watch for that to come from a "red" state.
