Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president's orders

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

Well, it may be convenient for you to describe this as “liberal left” — except for the fact that conservatives who oppose Obama and who did not vote for him, are saying that about this particular group of people. In fact, I learned about the term — not from liberals — but from conservatives...

This talk (that I’m referring to as Obama Derangement Syndrome), will still be going on in the Presidential elections of 2012. AND..., if *anything* would “do something” about Obama on this issue of qualifications — it’s not going to be all that ODS people talk about — but rather — from the likes of states that enact legislation to require proper documentation for all candidates. That’s where the solution is going to come from.

So, yes..., you’ll still be talking about it, but Obama will still have an election in 2012, short of him dying or something like that...

Thank you for all your efforts. I deeply appreciate them. I know how disheartening it is to continually stand on the line, and get little support or response. I have used every tactic possible to get folks to make a commitment to our rallies.

I haven’t had bricks thrown at me, but there have been full water bottles, eggs, drinks, ice cream, and cereal (Lucky Charms). Like you, we have been called every name in the book, and seen “the bird” more times than I can count, not to mention a few butts. Yet we go on. I will never give up or back down, although I do get disheartened at time. Recently, I considered moving from California in the distant future.

The LT, although noble in his cause, is going about this the wrong way. His career is over because of these actions. Pursuing this through other channels would be correct. Think about the consequences if he is proved wrong. Do you think the powers-that-be are just going to walk away...no harm, no foul? What example does he set for the troops? In short, you don’t play your hand until the right time. He has nothing in reserve.

The country is worthy of the fight because of the good people who didn’t vote for socialism; who stood for what was and is right and continue to do so, like you and I.

I think what happened at the Battle of the Bulge is instructive here. Nazi soldiers educated in America were dressed as American officers and proceeded to give perfidious orders to Allied soldiers (in addition to murdering them when the opportunity arised).

Those who disobeyed their orders did so because they were either warned to do so or they were able to expose the imposters by asking them questions that any loyal American would know. The situation we face is really no different in that we have an imposter as Commander-in-Chief.

I think that you will find plenty of other examples where subordinates determined as a group that their superior was not authorized to issue an order, or that issued an order countermanding the order of a higher-ranking officer, or was not in a sane frame of mind.

There is a reason why it takes TWO KEYS to launch a nuke, and in the scenarios I just described illustrate the reason for that.

As long as we don’t have a massive Muslim terrorist attack (which can happen at any time) — then simply “politically speaking” — yes...

It’s the same question that people asked when Clinton was President... LOL..

I kept reading about how Clinton was going to end the elections and how he was going to stay in office and “take over” the country. What is being said now, is the same thing that was being said with Clinton. It’s a continual refrain with all Democrat Presidents — being said over and over again (with each new Democrat President, whenever there is one — by a certain group who are “predisposed” to continually think this way.

With Clinton we were going to be put into camps. With Clinton there was going to be rioting in the streets. With Clinton the military was going to throw him out of office. With Clinton, the military was going to revolt. With Clinton, he was going to remain President forever (or as long as he lived, anyway, which some people claimed they were going to make sure it was a short life... :-).... ).

And so it goes, with “conspiracists”. It’s the same thing over and over — just change the name of the President and you’ve got the same thing again....

There were no such conspiricies with Clinton. It's not a conspiracy theory Obama makes it actually happenen. Everything that we have been predicting this Socalist would do, he has done, and worse.

No lie was too big or too outlandish for Obama to tell. His supporters are like the battered wife who believes that her husband is "not really bad," that he will "change" for her, that this "time" will be different, that she "trusts" him, and that he "loves" her. The wife beater will tell her anything she wants to here in order to keep her from leaving. When that doesn't work, he threatens her.

Obama is abusing our economy, abusing our freedoms, abusing abusing his power, abusing the Office of President, abusing everyone who doesn't agree with him, and threatening us with catastrophe if we don't do what he wants.

And, yet his minion keep coming back for more. Are you one of them?

Well..., I read them here, on Free Republic — regarding him staying in office, no more elections, camps for those who try to protest. Perhaps you were not involved in that “mentality” of conspiracy of that time, with Clinton, but you are now, with Obama.

Well, I keep posting this over and over again. I can only conclude that no one has read the many posts before... LOL..

I campaigned against Obama, before the election, using some of the same qualifications arguments prior to the election, right here on Free Republic. You’ll find the posts here for the dates leading up to the election. However, I and others of the Republican ticket lost the election, so at that point, I saw the “handwriting on the wall” (so to speak) and that he would be President (as he is now).

I have posted as a conservative in the past, and still do today. The fact that I don’t go along with conspiracy theories and “deranged” ideas is not a “marker” against being a “conservative” (but with some it apparently is...). I even have a little simple test on my home page for gauging conservatism (that anyone can take) which rates you — simple but effective.

I have been registered as a Republican for decades, have not voted for a Democrat President and I can’t see any time that I would in the future, unless they turn conservative... LOL...

I’ve even posted here that the way to get Obama out of office — effectively — and not in a “deranged” and “conspiratorial-minded” way — is to enact state laws that vet a candidate properly, and that is exactly what is being done in my state of Oklahoma, right now, with a piece of legislation winding its way through the legislature. This will have an effect in the election of 2012 for President.

But, the way I see it, because so many are “deranged” and don’t pay attention, I will probably have to post this about another 100 times... :-)

Ah, what a splendid idea. Using my phony brain surgeon analogy, by 2012, you'd be long dead along with the dozens of others he'll be permitted to operate on in the next four years.

But, then again, you might just survive with enough brain matter left to meet with the the hospital's Board of Directors and convince them to wait to change their hiring policy in 2012, so that they can find a qualified replacement for their surgeon-cum-serial killer.

Unfortunately for the families of the other victims, the liberal court ruled that they all lacked "standing" to get the phony surgeon removed before he performed surgery, even though the imposter doctor refused to show his actual medical degree and certifications."

Well, I said (before the inauguration) that we “would see” if all these court cases worked out or not and I was willing to wait and see — for the “proof” — if they did work. Well, I waited and they didn’t work — just like I was saying. “The proof is in the pudding”, as they say...

And so, I’ll say the same thing about 2012, I’ll wait and see — if — all this conspiracy nut stuff about there being no more elections in 2012 works out or not. And — likewise — “the proof will be in the pudding...” [And I also waited to see if all those “nut Clinton conspiracies” worked out, too..., and no, they didn’t; he did not become “King Clinton” and dispose of U.S. elections... LOL...]

But, as I’ve seen, all along about “derangement” and about “conspiracy nuts” — their continual failure to accurately state what will happen (in their conspiracy scenarios) never stop them from constructing more new conspiracy scenarios... conveniently forgetting how nothing worked out from what they said before.

So, I fully well expect that when the 2012 Presidential elections come about — there will be a whole new slew of “conspiracy theories” — and all these people forgetting about how everything they said never worked out before...

To paraphrase, Polarik, far too little far too late, just more rino BS. You might as well nominate mccain again and let him campaign for bo saying, “bo is a citizen and a family man.”

I use this forum to give and receive good counsel but I also use it to vent and say that I think bo is an SHITE-ISLAMO-MARXIST-ILLEGAL-ALIEN and I feel a sense of catharsis when I say what I think about bo. While I agree with you that lawyers should present their cases in a judicious manner in court, I see nothing wrong with people venting on FreeRepublic. In fact, it is therapeutic to the person venting and helps to gen up the base. Nothing wrong with that.

The first recorded case of a United States Military officer using the “I was only following orders” defense dates back to 1799. During the War with France, Congress passed a law making it permissible to seize ships bound to any French Port. However, when President John Adams wrote the order to authorize the U.S. Navy to do so, he wrote that Navy ships were authorized to seize any vessel bound for a French port, or traveling from a French port. Pursuant to the President’s instructions, a U.S. Navy captain seized a Danish Ship (the Flying Fish), which was en route from a French Port. The owners of the ship sued the Navy captain in U.S. maritime court for trespass. They won, and the United States Supreme Court upheld the decision. The U.S. Supreme Court held that Navy commanders “act at their own peril” when obeying presidential orders when such orders are illegal.

I find the similarities of analogies to the instant case of “The Flying Elephant” to the case of the “Flying Fish”
interesting.

In terms of Free Republic postings, I have never said that. However, I have posted, a few times, that one of the important things to do for conservatives and the Republicans is to win the next Presidential election. And, as I’ve noted before, that will require switching some of those Obama voters over to the Republican ticket. I noted that it would be difficult to switch someone over, whom one has been calling them names for several years... LOL...

That’s just “judicious” and smart, in terms of how to win “friends” to one’s cause... LOL...

It’s *definitely too late* to keep Obama from being elected, since he’s already accomplished that. And, It’s *definitely* too late to prevent Obama from taking office, since he’s already done it. So, at the present time, you’re faced with a “fait accompli”. Those are the facts for the present time.

And furthermore, I’ve seen all sorts of predictions (from the past) for keeping him from taking office, of how one thing or another was going to do it, and watched over a very long list of things that was going to accomplish this — and *nothing happened*. Obama was inaugurated.

So, with that being the fact of the matter, right now (and since no one could prevent him from taking office and no one is doing any good getting him out of office) — it’s obvious that the next thing one better do is keep him from being President again, in the next election (since he’s already there, right now).

Therefore, that’s where we come to the “state laws” requiring specific documentation to prove if one is qualified for office.

Now..., if others were to listen to you that “it’s too late” — then we would be getting to the Presidential election year of 2012, in the *same situation* that we arrived at in 2008... and nothing to prevent another election.

It sort of sounds like you want people to be in the same mess in 2012 as they were in 2008... I prefer to change the circumstances with these states laws.

As far as the GOP picking McCain again, I would hope not. But, I don’t run the GOP, so who knows what they will do. The thing I’ll concentrate on is making sure that Obama can’t run again, if he does not produce the required documentation, via those state laws that I’m talking about.

RINOS control the repub party. rinos are fools who think they can control bo too. rinos are behind this legislative scheme to prevent bo from running in 2012. The legislative branches had there chances to remove bo up til 1/8/09 and they FAILED.

To paraphrase Dr. Alan Keyes, the rinos are “insane” to think they can control bo until they can defeat him in 2012, bo will have “destroyed” this country long before 2012 if he is not “removed” from office.

There are 2 ways to remove him from office:

1) SCOTUS can order him to be removed or,

2) The Military can remove him sua sponte.

I prefer that bo be removed legally by SCOTUS.

The soldier involved will be courtmartialed and kicked out of the service...or end up in Leavenworth-no question. Your comparison to German spies (not in German uniform thus spies) during the battle of the bulge is ridiculous. Personally, I think Taitz has crossed the line here and should be prosecuted. We are at war...perhaps sedition would be a reasonable charge. Leave the military out of this. They deserve better than to be used by these for profit lawyers (yes they are raking in donations).
