We have secured the Ampitheater at Lake Eola for Saturday, March 21 from 12:00 - 2:00. Bud Hedinger is on board. We have been contacted by Lloyd Marcus who is a conservative, patriotic singer, song writer and entertainer. He is on board as well and will be performing. There are many other plans in the works. So clear your calendars and spread the word. We are going to have a Tea Party! We are going to need to ask for some help with funding the event. We will be forwarding to you our website link which will be completed this afternoon. The website will have all needed information, updates and Paypal account for contributions for the event. I’ve been disappointed that I would not be able to come since I work on Saturdays, but due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, I took a vacation week this week and will be able to attend. Just don’t ask me to do any heavy lifting, I have a fractured rib, among other injuries.
I’ll make every effort to be there, though, and look forward to seeing you and the other freepers. I don’t have any signs or shirts, but I can bring a camera to record the event and our table. I’m a pretty accomplished photographer with over 35 years in the industry, so I know what I’m doing.

Hi! Yes, our banner is 8’ long, so 8’would be best. Roos_girl, you had mentioned that tables were going to be provided by the sponsors. Did you hear that they are not now? Perhaps if Freeper fidget could bring a table just in case, that would have us covered. Hubby and I will be there by 10:30. We will have our FreeRepublic name tags on! :)
Yeah, I just got an email that we need to bring our own table when previously they had told me a table would be provided.
I don’t have one to bring or I would.
And we’ll need some clamps or something to attach the banner to the front of the table with.

I have tape, stapler,pins,etc covered to attach the banner. Also have nice touches for the table top. We just need to firm up whom will bring the table. :)
So my brain just started working and I realized we had a 6’ folding table here at work that I can bring. But, I’m going to need one able bodied person to meet me at an agreed upon location to unload and carry to our set up. If no one answers this ping I’m not bringing it and we’ll just look like a bunch of dorks standing around handing out cards and holding the banner for 2 hours.
So, if anyone can help unload mail me and we’ll set up a time/location.

Hi, I’m in Citrus Co. & would like to go to the Orlando tea party. Anyone in this area going so I can go with them? I have a disabled husband so its going to be hard to go but he knows that this is important for me.

I am thrilled that I will have an opportunity to meet you (and hubby) as well as the other Florida freepers. I have been reading your posts for years, but seldom post myself.
It should be a great opportunity to round up some new recruits to Free Republic who are as fed up with the direction the Kenyan is taking the country as we are!
We will have name tags for Florida Freepers to fill out with first name and Freeper name if they like. That way we will be able to spot other Freepers in the crowd. Hope all Florida Freepers come by the table during the event to meet and greet. :)
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make it. I have been so looking forward to this but instead will look forward to you all posting your photos!
