WH lashes out at CNBC's Santelli

The White House is lashing out publicly and personally at a CNBC reporter whose attack on President Barack Obama’s anti-foreclosure plan caught fire on the Internet on Thursday.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs jumped at the chance to go after the CNBC journalist, Rick Santelli, when a question about his bracing critique was asked at Friday’s news briefing.

“I’ve watched Mr. Santelli on cable the past 24 hours or so. I’m not entirely sure where Mr. Santelli lives or in what house he lives but the American people are struggling every day to meet their mortgages, stay in their jobs, pay their bills, send their kids to school,” Gibbs said. “I think we left a few months ago the adage that if it was good for a derivatives trader that it was good for Main Street. I think the verdict is in on that,” the press secretary said, poking directly at the cable journalist, who reports from the trading floor at the Chicago Board of Trade.

Gibbs insisted Santelli was misinformed when he said Obama’s program would amount to a transfer of money from prudent taxpayers to those who had taken reckless risks.

Go to YouTube.com and type in Santelli.

There are several recent videos of him on air. Click on each of them to bump up his viewer rating.

If you have a DIGG or other file sharing account, bump each video or article you read about Santelli there as well.

(On DIGG, the now famous video ‘rant’ has over a thousand diggs).

Glenn Beck is also doing his We Surround Them project which also advocates local meeting and action.

How can we get both, and other groups, to work together?
-

Send a response to Glenn Beck. He seems like a guy who’d love a tea party?! If not, see if there’s a contact somewhere to call in his organization. He’s also on the radio. You might try there also.

Let me know if I can help. :)

John:
For republicans it is more then just pathetic it is rather scary when descending opinions are personally attacked by the president.

Carling:
yes the media created him out of nothing, that is why we call him zero.
Obama knows he has to keep that image or he will be in huge trouble, that is why these attacks take place. Obama’s image is all he has, the longer he can hold that image the better for him.

Republicans can get away with attacking reporters they just never learned from Reagan. Reagan knew how to handle reporters and he did it with humor and finesse.

Helen:
Why do you think one of the reasons Obama brought in Clinton. She has the files. And of course he didn’t want descending opinions with in the party (keep your enemy close.)
