Okay, I posted to the Florida board and I heard back from no one interested in helping out to get something set up locally. Below is a good starting point that I borrowed from a W. Va Freeper getting started in his neck of the woods. I think this is a good starting point that can be massaged. Is anyone interested in teaming up with me to get something worked out in Central Florida? No one else is going to do it except us.

9AM - MeetnGreet over coffee & donuts

10:30AM - Introductions and brainstorming session to

come up with initial goals for the group

Noon - Lunch on your own

1:30PM - Session to refine our goals & objectives

3:00PM - Activism 101 workshop

5:00PM - Special Guest Speaker

7:00PM - Dinner/Social

Was just thinking that it would be nice for those of us in the downtownish area to start getting together now to strengthen our central FL network and pound out some ideas for the Convention.

I am in the St. Augustine area and am interested in meeting other local Freepers...maybe even a combined day trip to the convention...I can’t afford to spend $$ for the over night, or longer, stay for the convention.

The latter April dates are good for me. I'm planning on two nights at the hotel/motel.....the night before the convention and the night of the the convention. Then, the long drive home early the next morning.

Looking forward to seeing all my Florida friends and meeting new ones. It's been years and years since I saw some of you....the March for Justice, the "Hide the Silverware" Inaugural Ball, through all the many Florida freeps (Tampa, Daytona, Tallahassee, Orlando, etc., wow!).

St. Pete here too. Cavuto spoke with 3 people who were at Tea Parties in Atlanta, D.C. and Chicago.
Would love to see Beck, Rush and Hannity join forces and stage a huge event.

I'm planning on making that....and am still interested in the April planning as well.

Also, I noticed that you haven’t yet selected a venue. I am not sure how many people at this point you are expecting, but I noticed you mentioned having it at a city civic center, and there is the Maitland Civic Center just north of the downtown Orlando area. I know that they host many events, and as a matter of fact they will be hosting Clark Howard on the 27th of March. Just a thought. Their website is: http://www.maitlandciviccenter.com. You could probably get any information on booking the venue there.

Thanks for the info. We're actually working on trying to line up a hotel that would have a meeting room, restaurant and lounge so we are self contained. When I have more info I'll post it, but am hoping to nail something down here pretty soon.

I'm sure once that's done there will be plenty of stuff that we'll need help with and since you're local I'll get in touch with you!
