We already have a similar effort underway in the form of the Missouri Republican Assembly. The objectives, beliefs and principals of the MRA are, for the most part, identical to those espoused by Free Republic.

If the FR initiative gains momentum, we might be able to combine our strengths and make a bigger impact on events.

I’m sorry, no fund raising is allowed here on FR. I’m going to have to turn you in.
(but I like the idea)

I’d love to help with FReePAC.
I wouldn’t know what to do, but I’d do something.

If this would mean things like jumping, for example, on the McCain bandwagon just because the GOP nominated him, then it would be little more than a rah-rah-GOP-nominee-whoever-it-be. And that is how we got so many so-called Rino’s in Congress to begin with.
If it would stand on principles, that would be another matter — depending on what those principles are and how much adherence would be given to them. Would there be times it would support a solid conservative Dem, for example, over a liberal Republican?
