Benediction at Obama's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery: 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in the back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'...
Unlike the poem?
Wooden brains, setting up a rock box to worship, as foretold.
19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
KJV
3 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God.
3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
KJV
Yeah, and don’t forget you’re not allowed to use the phrase “n*gger rigged” anymore. It has now officially been replaced with “the presidential solution”.
:0
"Wasn't a black man just elected president?"
"The Rev. Joseph E. Lowery, who seems to be a race-hustler, was chosen by Obama himself to give his benediction."
"Does he sound like another Rev. Wright?"
I thought they already did that in reconstruction, one of the most de-constructive periods of our country. They used to call it “waving the bloody shirt.” Maybe the real motivation should be viewed from that perspective.
“Conjunction Junction, what’s your function?
Hooking up words and phrases and clauses.”
Leader of the Free World—the `Cat in the Hat’—tapped
Schoolhouse Rock and Dr. Seuss to give the Benediction.
I can't believe people like Lowery will give up the business of bitterness. That is what they do for living. If we had a truly harmonious and colorblind world such people would have to find a real job.
I heard a bit about this Lowery clown on Rush. All I can say is, "Great Caesar's Ghost."
LOL!
I’m going to enjoy watching the media tell us for the rest of the week, how public racism is OK now.
I’m going to need pain-killers once the media spin gets started.
1 John 4 also has a good test for spotting false prophets.
One of the indicators is that “the World” listens to them because they are speaking from the world’s viewpoint and not God’s.
Other than on FR and Rush’s show, is this divisive line getting any play anywhere else?
or is it just us?
It’s not racism if THEY do it.
There is a possibility that both were referring to Jesus, who is God, taking on flesh and being fully human and fully God among us...
but I doubt that’s what he was referring to,
because these “liberal theology” types don’t even acknowledge, for the most part, Christ’s divinity.
I resent “Rev.” Lowery’s prayer/speech immensely. His benediction went a long way toward dividing people in this country. He, like “Rev.” Wright, just can’t get over it and get on with it.
I am sick and tired of these people being continual victims. My grandmother, who came here from Germany, did not feel that she was a victim. She ironed clothes and cleaned houses for other white people her entire life to help her husband support their five children. She never complained once or felt victimized because others had more than she did. In addition to that, she volunteered at a Lutheran orphanage and made quilts for the elderly. She passed away in her early 50s feeling that America had given her a very good life.
The bible says to do good to those who hate you. You can make a difference, hate only hurts those who hate
“white will embrace what is right”????? Well, I must agree because all those whites who voted for this imposter definitely did not embrace what is right. When will whites embrace what is right? I’m beginning to think that they NEVER will - just look at the idiocy going on right before our eyes.
Post of the day my friend.
As far as the hippy preacher, I think he was just using that 60's lingo, and calling "GOD" man.
I know it's a sad commentary on the state of things but it's also hilarious.
