Pepsi is running a new advertising campaign that keys into the upcoming inauguration – one that features a re-designed corporate logo that mimics the distinctive Obama “O” campaign logo, and refers to the president-elect as “the man who is about to refresh our nation.”
PepsiCo’s Web site -- RefreshEverything.com -- features an application allowing anyone to send a video message to the president-elect. The feature’s explanation reads, “Help us refresh America.”

Dr. Pepper/7Up is an independent company

Great news. I thought Pepper was owned by Pepsi. In our area Dr. Pepper is offered at Taco Bell, Pizza Hut (Pepsi), but not at Burger King, Wendy's, etc. So I assumed they were owned by Pepsi.

“I love Dr. Pepper. But aren’t they owned by PepsiCo?”

Nope. Says right here on the side of the can:

“CANNED BY A MEMBER OF THE COCA-COLA BOTTLERS’
ASSOCIATION, ATLANTA, GA
30327 UNT EH AU-
THORITY OF DR PEPPER
COMPANY, PLANO, TX 75024”

Texas? I guess I can now say “Don’t mess with Dr. Pepper”.

It is no coincidence that Pepsi has modified their logo to look very similar to Obama’s.

So thats why I can never find a diet pepsi at the Atlanta airport!
They won’t let you take it past security, and good luck trying to find it on the other side.

"Keep The Change"

A lot of people think the Obama camp made up the "Change" slogan. They did not. It's been part of the 'commiespeak' vocabulary for decades. 'Change' = socialist or communist takeover.

__________________________________________________________

Saul Alinsky on "Change"...
From Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing:

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution."

Saul Alinsky, The Latter Rain

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

"The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.

The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them."

I very much enjoy Pepsi and prefer it to any other soft drink on the market. But if they are going to get involved in politics that are going to kill our nation, they will get no further money from me.

Unfortunately this might be difficult. Pepsico is a monster of a company.

It’s the commercialization of the Obama cult. I’m expecting the beer companies to resort to it next.

So states aren’t enough, now it’s red cola vs. blue cola too? Good thing I’ve always liked Coke better than Pepsi.

This sort of inaugural campaign might be more appropriate to a company that makes grape or cream soda.

I never liked Pepsi anyway, especially after they tried to get Coke off the college campus. They are liberal run and it is no wonder they are slobbering for Odumbo.

Pepsi has no fizz and neither does Dear Leader.

“...I’m going to have to convince him to boycott Pepsi.”

Not only Pepsi itself, but TacoBell, KFC, and all other Pepsi enterprises. It is outrageous that a company like Pepsi would conduct this ad program. It is bad enough that Starbucks is doing an Obama-related ‘volunteer’ program, but Pepsi???

Note to self: Cross Pepsi off of grocery list.

Ditto that.

I'm already boycotting Pepsi products including their softdrinks, Tropicana juices, and Frito-lay chips.

Hearing this makes me feel even better about it.
