Taleban 'will kill school girls'
BBC News ^ | December 27, 2008

In comments broadcast on an illegal radio station, he threatened to blow up schools which enrolled female students.

This year alone, Taleban militants have destroyed more than 130 schools in the Swat valley. They want to bring in Islamic sharia law in the region.

Militant attacks on schools in the region have deprived more than 17,000 students of education.

'Severe blow'

Although schools for girls have come under attack on numerous occasions in the past, this is the first time Taleban militants have issued a complete ban on girls attending them, the BBC's Ethirajan Anbarasan says.

A Taleban spokesman said the prohibition would remain in place unless and until Islamic sharia law was fully implemented in the region.

State-run schools are seen by the insurgents as key symbols of the government.

Now the militants have threatened to destroy private schools as well.

These schools are not Islamic religious institutions and the students are taught courses based on the government syllabus.

> They are not our women and children. Focus on protecting our own shores and our women and children.

That’s a dam’nable attitude.

> Every single Taliban retard we capture should be forced, FORCED to get a sex change operation and wear a burka for the rest of their lives.

Every Taliban that we capture ought to be summarily tried and hanged on the spot for war crimes. Let’s not muck around with niceties: they don’t want to go to Gitmo: fine. Hang ‘em and they don’t need to.

As the world stood by while the Taliban set up its Theocracy the last time, Bin Laden saw a haven from which he could operate. After killing the strongest opponent the Taliban had, Bin Laden was made a special Minister of Defense by the Taliban.

We had only a day or two to puzzle the meaning of this when four planes were hijacked on plans by his group.

I think that is sufficient proof that the world is too small a place to be disinterested in organized tyrany and evil.

They are not our women and children.

Yes they are. Remember 9/11/01? The Taliban gave refuge to OBL/AQ, allowing them to use Afghanistan as their base of operations. This is a world war, and we've been directly attacked. If we don't exterminate the problem worldwide it'll eventually exterminate us.

However, I share your strong opposition to nation-building in the Islamic world. It costs way too much (in both American lives and taxpayer dollars), and its effectiveness is questionable, at best.

I'm in the nation-destroying camp. ....nations that harbor/support Islamic terrorism, to be precise. They can rebuild their hellholes themselves. But no more social engineering projects with American troops vulnerable like ducks in a shooting gallery. (I suspect that lesson was learned).

I’m with you on that. Five of my colleagues were on the planes that smashed into WTC 2 (I didn’t know them, we worked for the same organization) and one fellow Kiwi was on Flight 93.

Next time it could happen to me. Or to you. Or to anyone on this Forum. Or to our families.

Evil knows no borders.

It is not our job to remake their culture.

But it is our job to destroy it.

"These guys are scared to death that if their women know anything - anything at all - they’ll learn Taleban men are the worst in the world..."

They also know instinctively that an educated woman will be less likely to be as easily controlled and may start to question the idiocy and rules being set down by the men. Education is power and they are afraid of the consequences of women getting any real power. I think that fear of women is an integral part of their lives and is why they must, through politics and religion, keep women in a subservient position.

They understand the power of educating their women.

We should be dropping thousands of the $100 laptops to these kids (with solar or hand cranked chargers). Load them with language appropriate teaching software and games then lock the machine down hard. Kids want to learn. If their is a vacuum in education for girls I’m sure we can fill that void.

Granted the rag heads will reprogram and use a few against us somehow.

Get the Islamic worlds women acting uppity and their game is over.

Educate their girls (and to some extent their boys) and this mess is likely playing out inside of two generations.

Satellite TV is a cultural weapon. MTV mid east will rot their kids brains soon enough.
